  1. Last winter storm warning that went all the way down to the shore of CT was Mar 3-4 2019. Last blizzard warning was Mar 14 2017 bust, unverified.
  2. No severe wx this summer, no dews, no days above 90, no tropical storms, weeks of drizzle and clouds. And i'm gonna laugh and laugh and laugh at your trolling arse!
  3. I can't wait till winter 20-21. Time to take a long weather hybernation from Apr-Nov.
  4. lol that would be really sad if 100% true. I haven't even seen tiny girls in college puke after 3 beers.
  5. This season sobered a lot of us up and reminded us why we have the climo we do. I averaged about 45" the past 5 years but i know my climo is really like 35". Brought back horrific memories of 2001-2002 as well. I'll never forget that season, as shit as this one was, it still doesn't come close. Panic, Denial, Anger, Acceptance.
  6. I haven't seen that much in one event ever lol.
  7. Only the 6Z GFS counts this winter.
  8. Good news everyone, we can all uncancel winter and get back to days and days...horrah!
  9. That's awesome dude. I was more than pleased with 14.4" from that storm considering with less than 24hrs to go many models were showing a whiff and i remember the EC ensembles were split 50/50 from basically nothing to 2 feet. I've experienced probably a dozen TSSN events since living in CT and i remember the first one was the most impressive to this date. I had CG lightning strike less than 100ft away and loud summertime convective claps. I remember being a kid then and didn't even know it was possible to get thunder and lightning during a snow storm. Id love to get 28", never seen a storm that big.
  10. I can't tell if this a joke or you're actually serious.
  11. I don't think we did one last year though, i don't remember seeing a thread on it.
  12. The grading winter thing is not my idea, ive participated and seen them over the years here on the forum. And i think it should be a subjective thing because its a personal experience to everyone and there's so many factors. Making it based on hard data and climo sites would just be boring. I mean, we arent doing it for anything much more than entertainment and to talk about it, it's something just for fun. I believe it was always based on the entire snow season for the northeast, whenever the first and last snow was, not met winter.
  13. I can't wait till we rate this winter, there's gonna be 100Fs, a few Cs and D from north country and one A. Anyone wanna venture a wild guess who the A will be from?
  14. Every winter is cold and snowy for the E coast or NE in a JB forecast. I haven't seen him forecast a below normal snowfall and a NE torch ever. I haven't been following him for more than 5 years but every year its the same story.
  15. As far as straight numbers here's the reason why 11-12/15-16 were better than this season (in interior south central CT) but not as bad as 01-02 (if it were to end with no more snow). I can't really remember 06-07 events or how much snowfall we had but i do remember there were a lot of sleet storms. 19-20 - 10.5" (3 advisory level snow events, one ice event) 15-16 - 27.5" (2 warning events, one historic blizzard 12+ and one 10+ feb event, one feb adv event and march advisory event) 11-12 - 25" (2 warning level events, one historic October and one 12" snow storm in January 01-02 - 7.0" (1 advisory level event and thats it, huge lack of cold air worse than this season and no storms to speak of except the Foxborough event) It's gonna be hard nut to crack to get something worse than 01-02 here. That's like a 1-100 year shit show.
