  1. And to show how brutal the cutoff is... Holllllllld up!!! Say WHAT?? That's when you know it was a brutal cut-off--BWI is my closest airport and I measure about 1.5-2 inches. Yes there they measured 6.8! Lolol That is hilarious! FRUSTRATING...but hilarious. I don't think that has ever happened where my own measurement and BWI where miles apart, lol Wow!
  2. After measuring a somewhat paltry 1.5-2"....Turning on Beethoven's 5th and vigorously (and angrily) brushing off the cars proved to be quite cathartic. Does look kinda nice though. Here's to more next time!
  3. Don't tell me what to do. Unless the moderators kick me out, I'm stayin'...but I heard the message (the REST of them). No need to be hostile
  4. Self-esteem...hmm. I think if feels more like when your team wins or loses. I'd call it jealousy more so than self-esteem (since we have zero control over the weather, no like we ourselves fail--it just feels like losing). But either way your point stands--it ain't healthy!
  5. Though I'm 30 I have no wife/kids--not a ton to worry about, lol
  6. I know you're not the type...but I do take in what in what folks say.
  7. Oh trust me I don't WANT to be mad about any of this. I hate feeling like this, trust me...I'd like to not care as much. But I have no clue how to get there
  8. .......I don't know. Let me check with my subconscious... Maybe the 5 feels more significant. That it feels like being trolled to get 4.8"...lol Like a "no warning snow for you!" But in reality I guess I'm looking for the 6-8 incher again (because getting over 5" usually means you're closer to that). That snow that's moderate yet has a bit of a "punch" It's just that my yard has been lacking that and pretty much just missing it several times the last 6 years--and that's frustrating. The other part of it is missing those snows that have good rates--seems all I've gotten is light to moderate flakes. Gotten a lot of pretty scenery, however...and I've started to enjoy that a little more lately. (In fact if I had no knowledge of what was going on in other parts of the state I'd probably enjoy it more).
  9. Ha...I deserved that--but I gotta admit that was funny. Also funny enough...guess how old I happened to be during the blizzard of '96? Five...lol
  10. While I hate the death iconography...now that the "reaper" is retired I'll vent in here: DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! PAIN!!! That's all the winters have been the last 6 years in my yard--with some exceptions for beautiful scenery and such. One day...ONE day we gotta get a verified WSW again. 6 years oughta be punishment enough.
  11. I hope so man. We are WAY overdue. I've been frustrated for 6 years...like literally every winter since 2016 has brought emotional draining/pain and disappointment with the close misses. But looking at history it does, like you said, appear to balance out. As long as our overall snow chances (which are just occasional) don't decrease...I guess we'll get there.
  12. Doesn't matter--no WSW. It's pretty to look at, but knowing we coulda had more is frustrating as heck. Built up from 6 years of "Yeah it's pretty to look at but s/e (or north and west) got more. It wouldn't be so bad if we had cashed in a couple other times previously...that's what I'm upset about. I mean this is our region though...so it happens.
  13. Would never trust that setup...it's a Miller B screwjob waiting to happen! Low transferring to the coast at our latitude...we've seen that one before, lol
  14. Not happy with this one...absolutely awful. Not sure we get even to 3". Ever since 2016 we've been absolutely skunked--by precipitation on these sliders, and by temperature in others. Too far south for elevation, too far north for sliders. Not one dang solid hit (most was 4.8" I believe) in 6 years. Can't remember the last time "ripping fatties" was a thing here since 2016 (I think the March 2018 (?) storm had a few). I think this is the longest Baltimore has gone without a verified WSW....believable yet maddening. Folks down in DC--you've done far better the last 6 years (jealous). But you've gotten skunked plenty of times, so perhaps it all balances out!
  15. Don't worry your old neighborhood only did meh...lol
  16. Yeah but ain't what others are getting and I'm ticked. Tired of being right on the edge of either precip or temperatures. I want a WSW dang it...been 6 dang years. I can't even remember the last time I got a steady burst of fat flakes...absolutely ridiculous. .....But yes it looks pretty, at least.
  17. Please let me know what that feels like...I forgot, lol
  18. I ain't. Baltimore has gotten the butt of these sliders post 2016 and I'm kinda tired of it. But so it goes. Happy to have something measurable in a nina though.
