  1. I continue to believe that if we manage to get in, something could happen. You just never know!
  2. Seriously...saw that video, and that is an epic still shot (one for the books)...wow. Those poor folks!
  3. My goodness...chilling. That video has got to get an award. Perfectly captures the terror of what happened last night...mercy
  4. Can't be too many more terrifying things in severe weather than seeing the outline of a large tornado in a lightning flash...at night. Wow
  5. A literal yin-yang sons of thunder...my goodness (although I don't know exactly what I'm looking at, sounds like it's kinda historic, no?)
  6. Been trying to resist commenting on here lately, but I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling burned by last year's "no cold air around" -NAO...lol How would you compare this to last year?
  7. Funny thing is someone literally just introduced the misers to me last night...I'm almost 31 but somehow missed that growing up, lol Snow miser is hilarious and relatable (like the mist literal encapsulation of the snow lover)...but kinda somehow creepy, lol Like I think the "What the heck?" reaction hit me before the "Oh NY gosh that's me" reaction did. But now it's growing on me, hahaha Haven't looked at the heat miser yet (boo!!), although like ya said...I'd only CONSIDER welcoming him for a day if it were an exchange for a January HECS *maybe (but then we'd have to sacrifice all of Feb and March...so eh, lol)
  8. Overall...I'm not ready to give up on the season just yet. Feels like there's gonna be more to the story...just not sure what or how far! We Shall see...
  9. At first I too was kinda upset at going for two...but then when I found out Humphrey went down, I kinda see what Harbs was thinking. Higher chance of winning on a 2-point conversion than risking OT with a suddenly Humphrey-less secondary. We lose that coin toss and Ben might march right down the field. Where as the 2PC was right there...higher percentage call if you ask me. I get it!
  10. Well I certainly hope not (hey maybe Villanueva can muster up a good game against his former team? ). But seriously I always felt like we might drop one more...and after that if we're gonna heat up we heat UP! So I wouldn't be surprised with a loss tomorrow...but that's just me, lol
  11. That's a pretty safe bet...lol I got 6 sacks total for the Steelers!
  12. Funny enough back then I actually kinda was half- expecting it...because I did some research and saw that the last two times we hit 70 degrees on Christmas in a a Super El Niño...(1965 and 1982), we got a big blizzard the next month (or February). Now ya know me, it didn't take much for me to latch onto that idea, lol So that made me feel better immediately!
  13. I also sent an email without a response as well
  14. After some introspection....I can see what has happened and I feel awful and absolutely ashamed (not the first time). I admit I don't always know what to do with the angst, and this place became an echo chamber that I think I mistook for purely a venting space as opposed to a place where other people are actually looking for good analysis. All this time I'VE been part of the problem for why folks leave. I've been the mutee (ironically getting annoyed with others for being debs...lol). One thing becoming clear is I am indeed the one in the wrong. I'm becoming part of the negativity...and that's wrong. I have no idea why I am the way I am on here...for some reason tracking snow on here brings out the absolute worst in me (probably not to do with any of you, though). I think what would be disappointment on one particular day or two of a missed storm is compounded by days of tracking before hand...increasing the mental investment and eventual "crash". And when you're already feeling crappy out it, then you come back on here and the negative emotions are reinforced in the echo chamber...compounding your own! An unhealthy cycle... Now, am I still worried about future snow prospects? Yes (not sure I'll fully believe we can still get a legit hit of snow until we get it. Not the most logical, but that's where my brain is at right now)--However, because of this, I'm learning to enjoy and be grateful for what we do get. (Never had I been more excited for flurries than the other day...that's when I knew I was beginning to see things a little differently, lol) All that to say...I am truly sorry for any damage I've done to the enjoyment of this forum. I will try to do better and be better.
  15. We got some real jerks on here, I'm telling ya...man don't vent about snow on here. Wrong place!
  16. I don't get it...like, seriously. Like it's illogical to want snow, or be disappointed when it doesn't. I mean who here ain't? So again...explain. You're NOT supposed to do any of those things?
  17. Exactly where I'm at. I'm resigned...especially given this nina. But yet...when I speak from where I'm at (that this winter is pretty much a foregone conclusion based on nina history), I somehow need to...calm down? Act like an adult? What...I'm just being a realist (or so I thought).
  18. While have a hard time believing a nina can be a roll of the dice (unless it's all the sides say "sucks", lol)...I guess any period of cold+ storminess can be worth tracking to see if we can get a few crumbs from something that passes north! And yeah we have been lacking a bit in excitement this year...though severe season did have some nice moments (at least imby). Side note: I was a bit confused about why the hurricane season ended so abruptly given the nina state...
  19. 1) I sure would like to know how you think people SHOULD act--especially in the most predictable ENSO state for the region. 2) That is true...history bears that out. And even in our best winters, mid Jan--President's Day (and occasionally early March) are the peak times.
  20. Uh...dude? It is a nina after all! Southern stream doesn't exist in these, lol
  21. How about the tacit resignation button? I think I pressed that in August, lol
  22. While I don't quite remember the details of the 2000 Ravens games...from what I've heard ya saw a lot of first half scores that looked like this, lol
  23. Was literally just saying this...the end zone must give off pollen in the first half...lol
