  1. Ha...I deserved that--but I gotta admit that was funny. Also funny enough...guess how old I happened to be during the blizzard of '96? Five...lol
  2. While I hate the death iconography...now that the "reaper" is retired I'll vent in here: DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! PAIN!!! That's all the winters have been the last 6 years in my yard--with some exceptions for beautiful scenery and such. One day...ONE day we gotta get a verified WSW again. 6 years oughta be punishment enough.
  3. I hope so man. We are WAY overdue. I've been frustrated for 6 years...like literally every winter since 2016 has brought emotional draining/pain and disappointment with the close misses. But looking at history it does, like you said, appear to balance out. As long as our overall snow chances (which are just occasional) don't decrease...I guess we'll get there.
  4. Doesn't matter--no WSW. It's pretty to look at, but knowing we coulda had more is frustrating as heck. Built up from 6 years of "Yeah it's pretty to look at but s/e (or north and west) got more. It wouldn't be so bad if we had cashed in a couple other times previously...that's what I'm upset about. I mean this is our region though...so it happens.
  5. Would never trust that setup...it's a Miller B screwjob waiting to happen! Low transferring to the coast at our latitude...we've seen that one before, lol
  6. Not happy with this one...absolutely awful. Not sure we get even to 3". Ever since 2016 we've been absolutely skunked--by precipitation on these sliders, and by temperature in others. Too far south for elevation, too far north for sliders. Not one dang solid hit (most was 4.8" I believe) in 6 years. Can't remember the last time "ripping fatties" was a thing here since 2016 (I think the March 2018 (?) storm had a few). I think this is the longest Baltimore has gone without a verified WSW....believable yet maddening. Folks down in DC--you've done far better the last 6 years (jealous). But you've gotten skunked plenty of times, so perhaps it all balances out!
  7. Don't worry your old neighborhood only did meh...lol
  8. Yeah but ain't what others are getting and I'm ticked. Tired of being right on the edge of either precip or temperatures. I want a WSW dang it...been 6 dang years. I can't even remember the last time I got a steady burst of fat flakes...absolutely ridiculous. .....But yes it looks pretty, at least.
  9. Please let me know what that feels like...I forgot, lol
  10. I ain't. Baltimore has gotten the butt of these sliders post 2016 and I'm kinda tired of it. But so it goes. Happy to have something measurable in a nina though.
  11. Baltimore City: Too south for elevation, too north for southern sliders...lol Dang...when even Dundalk does better!
  12. Fun fact: DC has gotten more snow than Baltimore over the last 5 years! And just between 2019 and this one...a good 20+ inches, DC...barely 10 for Baltimore.
  13. I'm in the NE part of the city close to Morgan State
  14. Yeah a bit disappointed but not too surprised...may have 1.5" or so...warning criteria once again won't be met this time, but this is a nina after all. I can't remember the last time I saw good rates here for an extended period of time. Cut off is indeed brutal...but at least we got something nice to look at!
  15. Wow seriously??? Didn't hear it here--but that's awesome!
  16. Even a lower elevation on the edge like where I am...I wonder if the same concept applies? (Or would I be considered "on the edge" lol)
  17. Yeah I knew we were gonna be sweatin' that edge...not sure how heavy it can get here. Still feel like the warning might not verify
  18. Ohhh that is a keeper! Save that for your next Christmas card!
  19. Was kinda surprised they upgraded Baltimore to a warning (that I have doubts will verify, lol)
  20. About the same in NE Baltimore...hopefully can get it to pick up a bit. Love all the covered trees though!
