  1. Someone needs to pin this at the top of this forum...like this is it right here. The most accurate summary of the forum ever made! Lol It should be a reader beware for all who approach--whoever stays is probably one of us . As others have said...there can be a legit psychological study on this place...lol
  2. The 06z and/or 12z throne session is real! (thought it was just me, lolol)
  3. Dude...you're acting like everybody knows the analogs in that minute of detail...lol (and what's a "wet west December"?)
  4. It got drunk, spit out a Hurricane, then went to sleep
  5. Man I kept lookin' at that like what the heck?? Lol Drunk
  6. Same question I had! I've seen it get slick here in the city--and our temperatures are gonna struggle to get to freezing for awhile, I'd imagine
  7. Hey I hear ya--I'm not sure we've seen a better setup/pattern in a long time. Like Bob said--looking at this week, it just feels like, at last, it finally wants to snow!
  8. Ignorance was literally bliss...lol And really, despite my youth and the technology boom I grew up in, the only tracking I did was the local news and the 7 day...lol Wasn't until the 2013-14 winter that I stumbled on this site. And boy am I glad I wasn't on here for some of the fails--if we failed it was better not to know how close it was! But with everything at our fingertips (for better or worse, lol) I think that psychologically we get over exposed. Having all these maps can get ya all wrapped up in it...And then when something approaches--and even while it's happening--there's obsession over radar appearances instead of looking out our dang windows! Yep...it was definitely less stressful before!
  9. Yeah I feel your pain on Monday (obviously, lol). I was so close that my reporting station got 4.5 more inches--so I feel ya! Being that close bothers me more than, say, Boston getting shellacked. But last night was a salve for that...just what the doctor ordered (along with the potential shown in the LR!)
  10. As depicted that would that be what ya call "overrunning"?
  11. Oh wow you're right near me and Ohhh yes it was quite a show! Ripped fatties for 3-4 hours!
  12. Trai-tor! Trai-tor! (ironically enough, by the official record, yes we did get a warning down here on Monday...just not north of the airport, lol) But yes congrats indeed on your first higher elevation snow!
  13. Hey what did my other Balt. City peeps measure last night? I went to bed around 3:30 or so so I didn't get a measurement before any compaction. Measured 4.0" even on the steps but 3 on the landing. What did you guys measure? It was an awesome few hours! Snow-globe fatties
  14. Yeah I had a question about this...Is it a possibility Sunday morning? Church called yesterday about it and decided to close, and I was caught a tad off guard (though I remember a couple of you had mentioned things looking a but colder)
  15. Hey it's nice to be seeing snow and also looking just over a week ahead at potential! I tried to stop it, but...my brain was already getting sucked into next weekend even as last night's fun was going on. But I made sure to enjoy that as it happened...progress
  16. Must...go...to...bed! But no the heaviest band of the might is here! But bed is better for you...but ah the band!
  17. Yeah you're pretty close to me...Ha, we eclipsed what we saw on Monday! Lol Pretty awesome!
  18. Except it's now sharing the love! This back edge band mean biniss!!!
  19. Just measured 1.5". Definitely gotta be 1"/hr rates right about now!
  20. Yeah it woulda been pretty insane! Hey, maybe the moisture feed off the Atlantic is a bigger thing now?
  21. Everything covered here...really coming down! (Hey I might measure more from this than Monday's storm, lolol)
  22. Wow...gorgeous flakes out there. Both sidewalks and street starting to cave!
  23. Definitely starting to rip fatties now! (Or perhaps that's not the right term here, lol)
  24. Ohhh yes. First snowstorm that I can remember...but since I was just five I don't remember TOO much (I do remember my mom saying at first that the snow was too deep for me, and that it would be up to my chin, lol)
