  1. Or for some of us … on the same planet. As always …..
  2. Good afternoon CIK62. I believe it’s on line with me but it may take quite a few years. The line is moving very slow. As always ….
  3. Your absolutely right on the car Feb ban. I remember using the sled to help my mom haul shopping from the A&P on 13th Ave. As always …..
  4. Good morning Anthony. Providing you can get clearance from the future Mrs Anthony for this event, I would like to put a bid In for the video rights with background music consisting of the car 54 theme song. As always ….
  5. forky it would be much easier to decide who to vote for if you wrote all the speeches. As always …..
  6. High school, Fort Hamilton, class of 64. My eldest is weeks away from 47. I’m alone now and what was beautiful and shared in my life is gone. All that’s left is memories and what I can see of her in our daughters and grandchildren. No other grandparents are left, just me. As always …
  7. Good afternoon Wf. My oldest was born the day after a, not too often, 6” snowfall in NYC. I was just gearing up to kiss thirty. Now I’m steps away from 75 and it looks the like only thing my UHI bastion can count on is the ‘not too often’. …… but still enjoyable snow when it does fall. As always …..
  8. Good early afternoon all. No matter what happens, I still hope Karen can get Frosty to the North Pole in time. As always …..
  9. Good morning Liberty. My dad would drive my young self nuts by turning a moralistic phrase every ( it seemed to me ) chance he could. One that does stick with me is; ‘of taste there can be no dispute’. In regards to the “dude” (good morning Anthony) I really don’t see a problem. As always …..
  10. Good afternoon Rjay. Is it the approaching airmass itself that containes the warmth, albeit modified to us, and not the sun creating it in our area? As always ….
  11. Good afternoon SS14. When it comes to the coastal plain, Santa’s sleigh has had wheel modifications, in place, for quite awhile. As always …
  12. Good evening Nibor. Thank you for giving me the incentive to check that wonderful and appropriate, for us, quote. Ms Stanley is credited with another which fits Don and the beautiful photos he often posts. “He has achieved success who has never lacked appreciation of earth’s beauty or failed to express it”. I guess years from now our forum will be renowned for originating the short two word phrase “Winter cancel”. In that distant time it just might be true. As always ….
  13. Good morning Julian. It didn’t work and the glow didn’t last either. As always …..
  14. Good morning Anthony. Those blessed with the wealth to live at that height experienced it. The rest of us drawing full benefit from our UHI effect and warm ocean significant other will patiently wait. As always ….
  15. Good morning Liberty/Anthony. My Dad did Army Reserve training up there in the late 50’s. I remember him telling us that his unit was told to get their shovels ready one late week in August. 70 years makes quite a difference. If I was able or for that matter still here I would try to get close enough for that “WAY better” experience. When we get close in 2024, Watertown, Rochester and Buffalo will probably be sold out/unapproachable. As always …
  16. Good morning, BxE. Understood and even though I’m for the most part Italian, I didn’t take it (s) personally. As always ……
  17. Good morning Irish. Your phrase has a Bostonian flavor to it. As always ….
  18. Good morning W W and. R A I. My declining days would be lost without the members of the forum and … yup … remembering back, that’s what she said. As always …..
  19. Didn't DC out accumulate Boston one suppressed season? As always.
  20. Good evening Don. How often can one say that a mile high mountain cloaked city gets its first measurable snow later than a warm ocean hugging coastal metro… As always …
  21. Good evening Liberty, sometimes I wish I could trade the fourth for the first. As always ….
  22. Thank you Liberty, I wouldn’t dare speak for Will. I consider myself sorta like one of the working members of the forums U S O. As opposed to all the technically astute members that contribute daily I enjoy the banter with those that are kind enough to respond to me. I find, as my days run short, the forum comradeship is, to me, as much a blessing as it is a gift. As always …..
  23. Good morning Irish. Considering the state of the union and my plumbing I document that every 90 minutes during the night. As always ….
