  1. Liberty ‘that reason’ is your strength. As always ….
  2. Good morning Liberty. Only in my own imagination. As always ….
  3. Good evening, Irish. I do not belong to any of the popular/current media outlets, so you’ll have to forgive an old gents naïveté. I thought it was really you. As always ….
  4. It will probably be on July4th in reaction to an S19 post predicting snow for the holiday. As always …
  5. I would imagine with enough shrinkage the photo becomes acceptable. As always…
  6. If you were able to post a photo narrative of that experience, it would lift the spirits of many of us struggling with depressing news and weather. I’m sure the citizens of our 50th state would also understand. As always ..
  7. I imagine, Irish, that there is nothing more uncomfortable than an iced hula skirt, even before sitting. As always …
  8. Lovely photos Don. Early winter spring blooms and is the first photo forsythia? Th rose is gorgeous. It looks possibly like a Chicago Peace variety. I remember back in the 50’s my mom loved white roses and although difficult to maintain a good bloom, she was able to get a white rambler to grow well. I remember it blooming into December which was due in part to full sun and basement heat venting. A memory from 65 years gone. As always …
  9. Good morning W W. Thank you, I never knew such an extended snow projection existed. ‘Ignorance is bliss’ and I keep whistling tunes from the 50’s musical A Most Happy Fella. I do, of course, realize that the statistical probability of verification is somewhat akin to getting the Royal Flush you mentioned. As always …
  10. I apologize before I get Will zapped. I looked it up …” a diagram that gives a vectorial visual representation of the movement of a body or a fluid”. It’s a rather exciting definition. It could be applied to the atmosphere or a pole dancer. As always ….
  11. Good early morning Will. What in blazes is a hodograph? As always ….
  12. Good morning, Julian. The photo below was taken pre-wind event Thur morning on Clinton street seemingly just sparing the vehicle. I believe the culprit that weakened this seemingly healthy maple was previous street excavation. I’ve noticed a number of trees having the same fate, for the same reason, over the years. As always ….
  13. Good morning B Z. The accumulation depth amazes me even from the one mighty oak over my postage stamp. Perhaps if, before dropping, the oak leaves turned snow color it would be, even here, easier to play pretend. As always ….
  14. That’s what you get for hanging out with Will Don't worry, everything has a purpose son. Think of your report card as a learning tool for pre algebraic negative numbers. As always ….
  15. Good evening Nibor. If I owned a printer and knew how to use it, your post would have an honored place on my refrigerator. As always …
  16. Good evening Liberty. I finished a digital book called Empty Earth 11, by Roger Mannon. Your last paragraph, above, could have been inspired by the text of his story ‘Alone’. The second called Tipping Point you could have written or, at least collaborated on. If you ever have an opportunity please read them. As always ….
  17. Good evening N & W. Are you leaking a preview of forky’s next avatar? As always ….
  18. Good evening N & W. If S19 gets the post limitation cancelled, Labor Day will definitely be in the running. As always ….
  19. Good evening Rjay, BxE. My hair left and followed my dads. As a consolation prize fate left it all with me from the eyebrows down … and … allowed it to multiply. So with a shiny pate and well forested slopes i think of my self as a snow capped Pocono ( low rise ). It does make me feel good knowing that once the sap starts flowing the trees get theirs back. With this sap it never worked. Have a good night, stay well. As always …
  20. Good morning mreavers, 40/70 B. When I was 18 in the mid 60’s growing up in an traditional Brooklyn Italian family, if I matched you, I probably wouldn’t be here today. At that time when reaching your 18th birthday, the first card you received in the mail was a 1A from Selective Service. Thinking back if putting things/events in perspective is possible, I agree. Good times, good times. As always …
  21. Good morning BxE. Could you narrow it down a bit. That’s kind of a wide net. As always ….
  22. Good morning Irish. I tried to capture an image of the first flakes to grace the postage stamp, my very limited ability with any recording device is evident. The flakes were there. The members of the fall pumpkin family I placed on the chairs now are down to two. The local neighbor ground/air wildlife has made good use of them with no waste. The oak with its never ending leaf drop continues to soften the edges while the maple in the corner holds onto its last bit of green. I look at the never lit fire pit and the seemingly always empty seats and wonder. Sometimes looking at the fire escape I start quietly singing some fitting songs from ‘West Side Story’ I have to stop as soon as the parlor floor pugs join in. I stand amidst the leaf drop and the debris of the warm season. Sadly I look up at the cold overcast gloom and wait until a flake touches me, melts … than I find peace. As always …
  23. I guess this probably isn’t the best time to mention the buns… As always..
  24. Good morning and thank you jfk you’ve confirmed, for me, that my postage stamp and CPK are close relatives. As always …
