Chilly morning; sitting at 13.

Likely 5.5-6” in chester when I left at 7:30. Sitting behind a convoy of plow trucks on route 80 east now. Main roads are ok, local roads you need 4-wheel.

Heading out shortly to verify but eyeballing 4”; clearly more than I expected. Cheers all.

29 with moderate, very fine snow. Just came back in from a quick foray into the yard with the dog; 1/4” down. Better rates are overtaking the State now; good luck all!

Every model has some weird sucker-whole running thru MMU; I’m keeping expectations low for my area.

Another cold morning out this way; 18 currently. With a dusting of snow it looks like early winter.

Interesting micro-climate observation out my way; as I climbed in elevation north of 287/78 interchange on 206, it flipped to heavy snow about 1/4 mile south of my home. 1/2” on all surfaces, even pavements.

10+ day maps should be weighed lightly, in either warm or cold directions, in my opinion.

Long way out, though a warm up is likely; can’t expect to have multiple -10 days in perpetuity.

Touched 8 in Chester at 6:00 or so. Up to a balmy 22 now.

Snow clinging to tree limbs out this way. My kids ran into my bedroom at 6:45 to wake me up and tell me it snowed. It’s just something about snow…

Dusting to 1/2” in Chester. All surfaces covered and road crews came thru.

Somewhat surprised by your response. I don’t watch the news, and am fully aware this about money; but it doesn’t make it any less silly, especially to the normies. It’s truly becoming the “boy who cried wolf”. Noted for the future not to comment on this aspect. Cheers!

Riding the line out in Chester it seems. Flipping to snow with heavier rates, then back to sleet. I cannot believe they closed the schools for this.

Flipping between snow/ice depending on the intensity. Our school district closed; but Murphy calling a state of emergency for northwest Jersey may be more ridiculous.

28/19; precip out in PA. Just got the call that our school district has closed. Gotta admit this one is frustrating due to pending work schedule for both of us; a delay would have been somewhat more manageable.

Retreating here for a while; the main thread is a disaster. All rather interesting as the city was never supposed to see any accumulation. I always wonder about the age of our posters as the younger generation has no idea as to how lean winters around here can be.

Mood flakes in Chester; it got a flock of geese all confused. I watch them fly in 3 complete circles before landing in the cornfield next door.

The NAM always amps, especially the 18z. Not saying it’s going to snow in the city proper or LI, but North Jersey, especially Sussex, is in the game in my opinion. The 500 map Forky posted days ago seemed to argue this could shred and exit stage right, not cut. But time will tell.
