  1. 2.5 miles away from the office in 1hr 30 minutes driving. Puking snow. Looks like 4" on the mailbox I'm parked next to. Still 14 miles from home.
  2. Heavy snow. I've traveled 3/4 mile from my office in 40 minuts
  3. Roads are horrific in parsippany. I have been in my truck for 25 minutes and can't get out of the parking lot Ripping snow btw.
  4. At least 2" down at the office in Parsippany; 287 was not great at 2:30 on my way back from Paterson. Wife is reporting multiple inches down (her words: pretty deep, it's no joke here) at home in Chester, with reports of secondary roads closed due to sliding vehicles. NWS upped me 6-8"; all before Thanksgiving!
  5. 28/16 at home in Chester. Point and click going with 6" today.
  6. 28/15...I'm impressed for mid-November. Let's see what tomorrow brings me.
  7. I like the RGEM showing 9" near Stewart, and almost nothing right down the river!
  8. What is the mechanism to verify the CAD? HP in optimal location? Downstream blocking? Some of those 2m temps on the Nam are impressively cold for mid-November.
  9. Trees are 75% defoliated in southwest Morris County. Oaks are brown. Few beech have some clingers, but last weekends wind took care of the majority.
  10. 26...pretty cold for late night dog walks in early/mid November...winter feels like it's coming "early" this year.
  11. 27....I've been below freezing since 9:00..once the wind died down the temps plummeted.
  12. First snow shower out this way. 38 right now. Chilly day with the wind.
  13. The heavier rains have begun. Glad the foliage was great this week; these winds will have a lot of leaves on the ground by Sunday.
  14. Without butchering his theory too much...Siberian snow cover extent portends a significant source of cold air. With the right conditions, a cross-polar flow in the winter months, should help to deliver the goods.
  15. Hit 36 this morning; progged for 31 tomorrow night...
  16. Down to 42; wife kicked the heat on. First time this fall.
  17. 44/42 right now. First night I can see my breath outside since last winter.
  18. I mean the radar presentation right now is awesome for about 2/3 of our members. I'm on the north west edge of the heavier stuff. If this was winter, it would be like the Nemo storm from my area...so close, yet so far away.
  19. Heavy rain in Parsippany. Wife called to say 287 North is flooded in low laying spots.
  20. Off topic, but man oh man is Michael a beast. That radar presentation is beautiful. Prayers for all of those down there and any on this board who have family there.
