Steady drizzle here the last few hours. Doesn't look as if we're going to see much more than drizzle here tonight. I watered the vegetable garden yesterday because it looked as if the heavier rain would stay to the east and west, with very little in the middle of the area. It certainly appears to be playing out that way.

Yeah, 80 degrees feels great with the dewpoint down around 40. What a day.

91 here now, but doesn't feel bad with the lowering humidity and nice wnw breeze.

Got a little over a half inch here as well. Nice watering for the vegetable garden. The loud thunder woke me up at 7am. Lots of very close lightning strikes here. There wasn't much wind so it was far from the strongest storm we've had here, but it had the most close lightning strikes of any storm I've had here so far this season.

It hit 84 here today. Felt good with the low humidity.

80 degrees with a dewpoint of 47 here. As perfect as it gets for early summer weather. A top 10 day of the year.

83 degrees felt great today with the low humidity. This was a spectacular 3 day stretch.

We have a pretty nice drying out period after the rain tonight into tomorrow morning though. No rain friday afternoon through monday. Maybe some rain coming back on tuesday.

Steamy out there with the dewpoint at 69 right now. Weekend looks spectacular with low humidity and 80 degree temps.

It has been one downpour after another tonight. Most of them brief, but it has added up to 1.25 here so far. A decent amount of lightning too, but not much wind. Nothing like the strong storm we had last night with the 40 to 50mph wind gusts, but a good soaking tonight.

This little cell that dropped down from the northwest is impressive. Lots of wind gusts 40 to 50mph. The strong wind from the north made it look like a tropical storm out there with the heavy rain blowing sideways. A couple nice lightning strikes too. Much stronger than any of those storms we had a few days ago.

Yeah quite a few gusts in the 30s with this storm. Saw some baby pea sized hail too. Very heavy rain again and some lightning. The 4th storm here in a 24 hour period, and now over 2 inches of rain for the period. Pretty impressive.

A couple cells popped up and heading into Somerset county, so it looks as if Middlesex will get hit in a little while. Expecting a heavy downpour here.

Especially midday and early afternoon. Looks as if it will clear out later in the afternoon. Radar looking good for early afternoon heavy downpours though.

Yep it's pouring here now with that cell, and just had a very close lightning strike. Definitely more lightning with this one. 3rd extremely heavy downpour of the day/night here.

Just had another very heavy downpour. A little bit of lightning. Another one on the way that will be here shortly. Very active afternoon and night.

Not surprised to hear that. Torrential downpour. Picked up about 1 inch of rain in a very short period of time here.

Extremely heavy downpour .... coming down in buckets. The storm isn't severe though. Maybe some 30mph gusts, and a few rumbles of thunder. Glad the vegetable garden is getting a good watering though. Man is it coming down out there.

HRRR is showing some nice storms, and 12z RGEM looks pretty active too. Hoping to see a good storm later today. As for tomorrow, it looks as if the best chance of showers/storms is early to mid afternoon. Looking better late day, which is good news for evening cookouts. Great weather sunday and monday. A good holiday weekend overall.

12z GFS and GGEM have some rain for saturday, but clear it out for sunday. Obviously it would be great to have all 3 days nice, but 2 out of 3 for a holiday weekend isn't too bad.

Unlike the GFS, the 12z GGEM at least gets the wet weather out of the way in time for sunday. Hopefully we'll have decent weather for cookouts sunday and monday, but it'll be awhile before we know the holiday weekend details as bluewave said.
