  1. High temp of 78 here today. Felt great with the very low humidity this afternoon. Saturday was the warmest day here when my location hit 80. An incredible 3 day stretch ... felt great doing stuff outside in this kind of warmth this late in the season. Sad to see it come to an end, but hopefully a cooler pattern settling in for mid to late November will be a sign that we'll get some snow in December.
  2. 77 here, and I think it feels great with the lowering humidity. Dewpoint is down to 50 here now, and will be down to about 40 by late afternoon. Beautiful day.
  3. A shower here right now. Feels a little muggy with the dewpoint of 63. The growing season continues. But as Allsnow said, it will be ending next weekend. Finally going to see temps below freezing next sunday night. Probably some upper 20s for lows and some days with high temps in the upper 40s.
  4. High temp of 80 here today. Might not hit 80 again tomorrow because it's going to be cloudier, but it's going to be close.
  5. The other day I mentioned that I thought saturday would be just as warm as the other days, and here it is. It's 80 degrees here right now.
  6. It appears that even on saturday temps will make it to the upper 70s here. Three days in a row in which we will be pretty close to 80. Incredible stuff for November.
  7. Excellent! That sounds great. I'm doing everything I can to enjoy this late season warmth as well. Went for a 7 mile run today. Tomorrow I'm going to do bow hunting, and friday I'm going up to Swartswood Park to do some hiking. Gotta take advantage of this spectacular weather while we still have it.
  8. It would be great if it stays warm for most of November, and then flips just in time to get some snow in early December.
  9. 73 degrees here. Spectacular weather!
  10. A lot of clouds are expected sunday. That could ruin our chance of hitting 80, but we should at least see mid to upper 70s. Bring on the early November blowtorch! Even tomorrow we should get into the low 70s here.
  11. What a stretch next week after the showers for Halloween. Looks like a bunch of 70 degree days. It's going to be spectacular for November.
  12. 72 degrees here right now, and it feels a little muggy with the dewpoint at 65. As others have pointed out, the long range looks very warm. More 70 degree weather to come in early november. Looks as if I'll be picking tomatoes and peppers for quite awhile since there's no sign of a freeze in the long range. Maybe even into mid november, which would be the longest growing season here that I can remember.
  13. 70 degrees here. Another spectacular day. Yesterday I went up to Swartswood Park in Sussex County. So much beautiful color. As others have said, we're having a spectacular fall foliage season this year.
  14. Still not enough to damage the plants in the vegetable garden though. Got down to 34 here for the 3rd morning in a row, but it looks as if it will be quite awhile before it gets this cold again. No sign of any more cold shots in the long range. Looks as if the growing season will go into early november for our area.
  15. 34 here as well. Some frost on the cars, but the vegetable plants in the garden are fine. Shouldn't be any worse tonight and then we go into an extended warmer pattern, so the growing season should continue into early november. Very happy about that.
  16. You certainly could be right, but I'm hoping the forecast of mid 30s ends up being correct. I'd like to see the growing season continue. I've always noticed that my tomatoes and peppers in the garden are ok as long as the temp stays a couple degrees above freezing. Hopefully we can get through the next couple nights, because the long range pattern looks nice and warm. We can probably extend the growing season until early november if we can avoid a freeze the next couple nights. It's going to be close though.
  17. Only 0.37 here, but not too disappointed since we got plenty of rain in recent weeks. Three chilly days next week before it warms back up. Hopefully we can avoid the frost so the growing season can continue. It's going to be close.
  18. Yeah I went for a run on the pavement today. I'm planning on doing some hiking tomorrow, so hopefully the ground won't be as mushy after all the sunshine. Made it to 77 here today, and we should hit about that again tomorrow. I love warm weather in october.
  19. 75 degrees here. A spectacular day for outdoor activities.
  20. I got three and a half inches here. Very happy that we got all this rain, but I'm also looking forward to 75 degrees and sunny the next 2 days after all this raw weather.
  21. I think they'll get the Mets games in today. Radar looks much better now. The steady rain is moving away and it looks as if it will just be occasional showers the rest of today.
  22. I'm up to 0.75 for the day now. Quite a soaker today, and a big bust as you said. But we'll certainly take it. It's great that this drought is being busted.
  23. Yeah, we're fortunate that we're just getting into the northern edge of this rain band. Looking ahead to tuesday's potential, 12z NAM and RGEM keep most of the rain to our south. That's still a very close call ... we don't know yet if we're going to get significant rain or if it'll be just to our south.
  24. A nice moderate rain here right now. We're fortunate that we're just getting into the rain today. It looks as if it's going to be NYC-south, with much of northern NJ staying dry today.
  25. But GFS and GGEM keep the rain well to our south for monday and tuesday. It'll be interesting to see if the Euro is correct about the 2nd round monday and tuesday.
