  1. The window units don't work that well when it's this incredibly hot. With 2 of them going yesterday my living room still got up to 84 degrees. Obviously I have a problem with super heated air up in the attic.
  2. Yeah last summer we had our worst heat wave in late June with 100 degree temps for a few days, but then we didn't get another extreme heat wave like that again the rest of the summer. Very unlikely to get this type of heat wave twice in a summer, but of course you never know for sure. Anyway I had a high temp of 104. Probably gonna be the same high on Friday.
  3. I bet Newark will hit 105.
  4. Yeah the chance that we'll see anything here today is very slim -- I'd say a 10% chance. But I am watching radar and praying, lol.
  5. 99 here. Feels terrible with the dewpoint at 73.
  6. Euro isn't showing much for the 4th. Hopefully it will be dry for fireworks.
  7. Temp is up to 95 here right now. Don't think we'll hit 100 today ... probably 98. But I'm looking for 104 or 105 tomorrow and Friday.
  8. 12z Euro is very hot and gets us up around 105. Obviously the Euro was overdoing it a few days ago when it was showing 110, but I'll be surprised if we don't get up to 104 or 105.
  9. 90 here right now, so the long heat wave starts.
  10. Thankfully it didn't stop us from having a cold/snowy winter.
  11. It's funny that for days the models showed the heavier rain missing to the south.
  12. Hard to imagine the actual temp hitting 110. Gotta believe the Euro is overdoing it a little bit. But 100 to 105 seems likely -- this is looking like one of our worst heat waves ever.
  13. Continues to look like very little rain tomorrow. Maybe just a little light rain or a shower, with most likely less than a tenth of an inch.
  14. The afternoon Euro and GFS runs took us to 100 next week. Hopefully overdoing it a little bit, but we'll see.
  15. RGEM tonight has nothing too. I was hoping for rain because we really need it, but I know most people will be happy because it's a Saturday.
  16. Not surprisingly the NAM models shifted south on the 18z run. Saturday is looking like very little rain.
  17. RGEM was showing a big soaker, but now it shifted south. I see Euro just shifted a little south. It's still a very close call, but it seems to be going in the direction of the heavier rain missing to the south for Saturday morning to early afternoon with only some light rain up here.
  18. The Canadian models are a soaker for Saturday, but most other models show very little. We'll have to see if most of the rain misses to the south.
  19. Steady but fairly light, so maybe a quarter inch.
  20. We really need a nice 4th of July weekend after that terrible Memorial Day weekend.
  21. Yeah I got 1.05" from all those heavy downpours. The downpours were very brief but we got so many rounds that it really added up. The round of steady rain for today is about to start, but as you said it looks pretty light.
  22. Pouring again. Very pleased.
  23. Good batch of moderate to heavy rain here over the last half hour. Close to a half inch for the day, so I'm glad it hasn't been a bust here. Models show a good soaking for tomorrow too, so overall this is the best event since Memorial Day weekend. Desperately needed.
  24. Yep but it was a pretty good downpour. I got 0.28" here between both downpours. Enough to give things a much-needed watering, but hopefully we'll see another downpour later. And hopefully the models are right about the steady rain tomorrow.
