  1. No accumulation but it came down moderately for a few minutes. Nice snow shower.
  2. Getting a snow shower here right now with some gusty winds. Nice to see.
  3. Not sure why I got a couple weenies for that one, lol. Tuesday looks like at least mid 50s here. They'll see how warm it gets early next week.
  4. Early next week continues to look warmer and warmer. Well up into the 50s.
  5. HRRR says you have to go well to the NW to see any accumulation. RGEM doesn't give our area anything as well. I would lean towards those models instead of the crazy NAM models, but of course you never know for sure. Still something to keep an eye on.
  6. A cold first half of December has turned into just a cold first week of December. Next week looks fairly mild now. We do still have hope of seeing flakes Wednesday night. 0z Euro actually gives us a decent little burst of snow, but it will be tough to accumulate near the coast with temps above freezing. It's pretty much all we have right now, so we root to see a little something Wednesday night.
  7. Euro still giving us some light snow late Wednesday on the 12z run.
  8. Same here. Right now it's looking most likely that it's just going to be a very light event if we get anything next week. Next Saturday is way out there, but before then it still appears that we have a shot at seeing a little something late Wednesday. Last night's Euro and today's CMC saying we could get some light snow late Wednesday. Still very questionable with the possibility of it going too far north, but it's possible we could get a coating out of it. That would be nice to see.
  9. It does look much colder at the end of the week though. We should see highs only in the 30s Friday into next weekend, which is well below normal. I just hope we get a little snow out of this cold pattern eventually.
  10. Yeah it's bad timing for Thanksgiving morning activities, but as I said the other day it does appear we can salvage part of the afternoon. Rain should be out of here by 2 or 3pm so at least it's not an all day washout. Anyway I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! I hope everyone has a great holiday. Hopefully after the holiday we'll have a snow threat to track. As eduggs said, right now it looks more likely that it'll just be light snow threats. Maybe we can get a coating to an inch or two from a clipper-like system. With cold air around for an extended period of time in early to mid December, you'd hope that we can at least pull off something like that. I see 12z Euro does give us some light snow next Wednesday night. Long way to go on that one, but I'm hopeful that we'll see at least a little accumulating snow in early December.
  11. 12z Euro gives us a snow event on the 7th. Obviously fantasy range and not to be taken very seriously, but with plenty of cold air for the first couple weeks of December we're going to have a real shot of seeing something at some point.
  12. We might be able to salvage mid to late afternoon. On the CMC the rain ends midday.
  13. Couldn't agree more. With 2 weeks of consistent cold weather, odds are high that a snow threat or 2 will pop up even if the models aren't showing anything right now. Odds look pretty high that the coast will see an accumulating snow in December this year. I'm excited.
  14. Looks like just a tenth to quarter inch tomorrow morning, but a more significant rainfall for Thanksgiving to get us to that .75 to 1" for the week. I agree with you ... bad timing for the holiday, but we really need the rain so we'll gladly take it.
  15. A little front end snow well to the NW on the Euro. As snowman19 said, we just don't have the cold air in place yet for this event. That along with the bad track means you're going to have to be well to the NW to see any snow, unless we see dramatic changes. I'm excited about the extended cold pattern after that storm though. It has been a long time since we've seen a December snowstorm here, and we're gonna have a real shot in early December for a change.
  16. Nasty out there today with the light rain and temps in the upper 30s, but I'm glad we got a good soaking.
  17. Euro showing a rainstorm for the day after Thanksgiving. Obviously everything has to come to together just right for the coast to see a snowstorm in late November, especially when you don't have a very cold airmass in place. Most likely rain, but we'll keep an eye on it. One thing for sure is it's going to be a cold pattern after that storm. We'll probably have some days that don't make it out of the 30s. We can hope that sets us up for a snow event in early December.
  18. 1.22" here so far. Hopefully the next round later today will get us close to 2 inches for the event.
  19. 12z runs of HRRR, NAM 3km and RGEM still giving our area close to 2 inches of rain. I'm excited that a good soaking is finally coming. Will be nice to see some snowflakes in the air as well, even though we won't see any accumulation here.
  20. Euro continues to look nice on the 12z run. I'm so glad this is turning into a much more significant rainfall with a lot of the area getting 1.50 to 2.50 of rain. It will put a bit of a dent in the drought but most importantly will help a lot with the fires.
  21. We're probably going to get somewhere between a half inch and an inch from this event. Not the major rainstorm that we really need, but it will help.
  22. At least we have a few models showing a nice 1 inch soaking, but I know it's hard to break through during a dry pattern. It wouldn't be surprising to see this threat fall apart, but at least we have some hope.
  23. 12z Euro gives us a nice half inch to 1 inch soaking Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Obviously too early to be confident about it, but let's hope that's correct. Boy do we need it.
  24. 12z Euro does give most of the area a nice half inch to inch soaking Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with some spots getting more than that. Obviously we would be thrilled with that at this point.
  25. Coldest morning of the season here so far with a low of 28. It's going to struggle to hit 50 today. Nice to finally have some real november weather, but of course we're going back up to the mid 60s this weekend. Looks like chilly weather comes back for Thanksgiving week.
