5pm obs: 80° and 100% humidity currently in a rec center for my kid’s high school swim meet. 3 hours to go. Looks like I might mix with ice cubes and coke. And 3 fingers of rum

My best hope now is that I get super cold tonight and before temps torch tomorrow the precip comes in as rain and there is a quick ice. I will go skating down my street and hit the melted part and face plant into the pavement.

If you are 300'+ and NW of 95 you will do ok. This storm screams 12/5/2009 and for those who remember that one it was a brutal, just brutal gradient from east to west. For my location just S of DC barely sniffing 200', for the last 5-10 years any storm that has temp issues like this one has erred too cold and its stayed warmer than modeled. UHI, microclimate, whatever. Just won't bode well for storms like this. Will be lucky to get 1" unless there is a shift in storm track to the SE.

Just not any consistency between modes yet. Euro hasn’t budged much since yesterday but even its snow jackpot changed. GFS jumpy as well with huge shift last night. It had support tho. models still trying to resolve western energy and confluence and until they do it’s gonna be a back and forth. Wxmeddler said it best with models trying to also put low pressures along the baroclinic zone in the ATL.
