  1. Maybe we can hold onto the little snow we have today, temps holding steady at 30 and doesn't appear to warm much. Got to throw a snow ball with my little one, first time he's seen snow and he's hooked.
  2. Have a dusting to an inch on most surfaces, most of the year!
  3. Snowing hard at 32.4, have a dusting on most surfaces
  4. Heavy sleet storm just passed Waldens Ridge and put a dusting (?) down really quick. Just east of Dunlap Edit: Melted quickly, currently 40 and dropping
  5. Only other model that kinda supports it seems to be euro, no major short term model support. Oh nam, you get me every time
  6. Nam sure wants to put a moderate to crippling ice storm tomorrow night for high elevation areas. In particular, nams showing half inch + for waldens ridge. I know the nam is the nam but I know ice has been a possibility (albeit more north and east). Realistic?
  7. Yeah we are right in one of the "prime" areas at 2100 ft msl, picked up a dusting about 4 times lol For a small window this am everything was coated in maybe 1/4 inch but didn't last. Still, my little one saw snowfall for the first time and was throughly amused
  8. Got a solid flizzard ongoing on the southern plateau (north of chatt) picked up a dusting really quick!
  9. 'Twas a night before the solstice, when all through the land, Not a snowflake was found to help us in hand. The elves had worked hard with no reprieve, And while Santa made plans there was too much to grieve. To have true Christmas bliss we'd need some white fluff, But like every year our sees of powder were rough. No sleigh rides across town and no skiing nearby, Not even from far away could snow be spied! But we held firm hope and wished real loud: Please let this change for our holiday crowd! We sure really knew that it wouldn't work out- We never get rewarded with frozen clout! In other places kids put on their boots; Ours just sit by sadly who use many reproofs ! Will the reindeer ever soar 'cross the sky? Will there ever come transformation or is it goodbye? For all those whose joy will likely prove fleeting- To you I give lots of comfort greetings! Merry Christmas to all!
  10. FWIW - New Years Storm? Hugging the EURO Control and ready to be hurt GFS EURO Canadian

  12. Just to tag along on Holston's post... really hoping to atleast get a good dusting on the Plateau. We are north of Chatt at 2100 Feet MSL so maybe a little hope GFS Snow Totals (this weekend) Euro

  14. 0.02 inches up here on Waldens Ridge. All ponds are bone dry and the county has been doing prescribed burns around infrastructure 24-7 last 3 days. Very windy atm
  15. Had to join in on the fun! Ill take GFS Ensemble #7 please and thankyou
  16. Worked the night shift on a construction site in Cartersville GA last night. Throughly enjoyed the light show over tn, never a moment where multiple lighting strikes were visible in the distance. Reminded me of watching storms at night from the beach
  17. We had a cell pop up over us before the main line. Winds weren't high, but the lightning was insane. So far my weather station has detected 133 strikes within about 15 miles Power went off pretty quickly into the light show. Edit: 79 at 2pm eastern, 72 at 2:06, currently 69. Edit 2: 272 strikes as of 3PM
  18. Barely got any rain up here, 0.2" for the week... but doesn't sound like we want that wind! First time above 90° since we moved 1 year ago (91.9° on Thursday). Currently nearly 10° cooler than this time yesterday, sitting at 72° and I'm ready for fall haha
  19. 89.8° high here, moved up here and setup my weather station a little over a year ago and still haven't broke 90°... yet haha There was a stalled/stationary line of light rain between Murfreesboro and the plateau today, but we never got in on it
  20. Same, high of 71 and 1.4" so far. Great porch napping weather

  22. We got rocked up on the Plateau(hwy111), had a cell pop up right over us in front of the main line. I'm not sure if we were hit with a microburst or what but it was the worst wind and hail I have experienced since the 2011 outbreak (lived in South knox then). So many old growth trees came down in the area, this event will leave a scar https://streamable.com/3ap17d
