  1. I'm looking forward to it! I was in 8th grade the last time they came around, and it's been a while. I plan to be back in MD for April into May.
  2. Only for a few days. Then the GFS breaks it down and goes very +
  3. Coldest in 6 decades? You mean to say that mid-Feb 2016 had colder temps in SNE than 2015, 2014, 1994, or the late 70s?
  4. I think he recently reported 51” to date. More than my spot in SNE. Seems like the gradient this winter is even more ridiculous than 2013-14. Of course it is normal for north and west to do better, but the differences seem abnormally steep this year. I feel for the I 95 crowd, especially near DCA.
  5. You're beating Boston and a good deal of SNE. How deep is your pack? Looks impressive from your pics.
  6. It still seems a bit low from what I know. Doesn't BVT average 80-85"?
  7. So are we on track for the warmest March since 2012?
  8. 2021 has the potential to be one of the best years of my life. I'm hoping it's the year I get engaged. As for the weather, March is looking really damn warm especially in the first week. If only last spring had that warmth when the lockdowns were just getting started...
  9. Morch 2012 was good because it made it easy to move on from the miserable non-winter that preceded it. But normally there's no way in hell that I'd want 80 degrees from March 1 onwards. For me that can wait until May or June.
  10. I was at Gorham and Wildcat in the third week of March 2019 (when I still lived in MD), and stopped by at Mt Snow on my way back home to MD since it was a powder day. During that trip I completely forgot that spring had officially started, and the snowpack had to be at least 3' deep around Pinkham Notch. Not to mention some bitterly cold days up the mountain. Unless it's a debacle blowtorch like March 2012, winter will go on for many weeks or months to come up your way.
  11. With all this talk of a warm March, will this winter end as suddenly as 2009-10 did after the “Snowicane”?
  12. This has really been a Jersey winter. They’ve gotten buried almost constantly, including today and quite possibly next week.
  13. Wow the mood has changed so much in just the past week.
  14. Nah, I’m not worried about that. My biggest fear was that it would stop snowing in VT as soon as I arrived. Similar to my fear of another 2009-10 as soon as I moved to New England.
  15. Oh man, seems like I timed my trip almost perfectly. I'm really looking forward to the next month or so.
  16. That’s an incredible sight. The giant icicles remind me of Feb 2010, and I remember thinking that the Baltimore suburbs looked like ski towns. But this seems to easily top that month, and it looks like close to 4 ft on the ground. I just arrived in Vermont, and I plan to stay around for the next 4-6 weeks. Because I work remotely and deep winter in SNE isn’t enough for me . Tuesday is looking very good here.
  17. I was looking at Zillow the other day and the prices are obscene, especially close to Boston. A bit further out they’re more reasonable, but the immediate Boston metro has to be full of millionaires with plenty of cash to throw around because there’s no other way that real estate prices would be where they are.
  18. Oh man, so glad to see you back @Bob Chill!
  19. And it looks to continue to for many more weeks to come. I'm planning to head up to VT this weekend, pending my COVID test result.
  20. Yup same here, close to 2” and roads are just like they were the other day.
  21. Coming down much better now. Very pretty outside. 1.5” new
  22. It’s very lame around here but thankfully I was never very emotionally invested in this event. I won’t even call it a storm.
  23. Well damn, Tom Brady really is the GOAT. Incredible achievement. At age 43 no less.
