Speaking of NNE, I rented a place in one of those VT towns, so I'm heading up soon and I plan to stay for at least the rest of the month since I work remotely. I also just tested COVID negative yesterday after over a week of quarantine, so I'm good to go.

I think the CF ruined it here. It's had a tough time accumulating around 32-33, and had it been a few degrees colder we'd be talking double digits here.

That's an infuriating gradient. 8 miles between 4" and 13"+, just because of a few degrees difference. And here I thought the difference between me and Will was frustrating. Reminds me of some marginal mid-Atlantic storms that I've seen.

Yeah you usually report more snow than what I measure. My measurements were mostly from 5.5” to 6.5”, so assuming it’s over, I’m going with 6” as the total. Disappointing, but not a total debacle. At least the late evening was fun.

You sure about that? I measured 5.5” and it’s still pouring snow.

Power is back now, it was gone for maybe a half hour and meanwhile I took a little drive across the area. So much fun. The heavy band is just sitting over me and it keeps pounding. Total opposite of earlier this evening when the +SN went out of its way to avoid my area.

Radar looking better now, no local temps above freezing.

Snow growth seems slightly better now. Still not expecting much but maybe 6” is in play by the time it ends.

Sounds like you were spot on, and I shouldn't have doubted you. Out here the issue hasn't been temps as much as lousy snow growth and subsidence. The evening was supposed to be the big prize with hours of +SN, but it wasn't to be.

So all those killer returns on the radar are just 34 degree slop? I guess I'm not alone.

Exactly, and I don't see it changing. Maybe there's one more brief burst of snow but this has been a huge letdown. Very disappointing and unimpressive.

Yeah same here... the snow quality isn’t very impressive and ratios won’t be great.

I cleared the measuring spot. 2.8” Honestly I don’t even expect warning criteria, let alone double digit totals.

One word — subsidence

It’s been disappointing so far. We are surrounded on 3 sides by much better radar returns and it won’t budge.

2.7” Not very impressed, I was hoping for more by now.

It’s actually probably 32. My closest station is just down the hill but the others with closer elevation to mine are 32. That difference might matter.

Snow is finally picking up now. We’ve got 7-8 hours before drawing any conclusions.

The band is just south of both of us. We’re still early.
