  1. I was at Gorham and Wildcat in the third week of March 2019 (when I still lived in MD), and stopped by at Mt Snow on my way back home to MD since it was a powder day. During that trip I completely forgot that spring had officially started, and the snowpack had to be at least 3' deep around Pinkham Notch. Not to mention some bitterly cold days up the mountain. Unless it's a debacle blowtorch like March 2012, winter will go on for many weeks or months to come up your way.
  2. With all this talk of a warm March, will this winter end as suddenly as 2009-10 did after the “Snowicane”?
  3. This has really been a Jersey winter. They’ve gotten buried almost constantly, including today and quite possibly next week.
  4. Wow the mood has changed so much in just the past week.
  5. Nah, I’m not worried about that. My biggest fear was that it would stop snowing in VT as soon as I arrived. Similar to my fear of another 2009-10 as soon as I moved to New England.
  6. Oh man, seems like I timed my trip almost perfectly. I'm really looking forward to the next month or so.
  7. That’s an incredible sight. The giant icicles remind me of Feb 2010, and I remember thinking that the Baltimore suburbs looked like ski towns. But this seems to easily top that month, and it looks like close to 4 ft on the ground. I just arrived in Vermont, and I plan to stay around for the next 4-6 weeks. Because I work remotely and deep winter in SNE isn’t enough for me . Tuesday is looking very good here.
  8. I was looking at Zillow the other day and the prices are obscene, especially close to Boston. A bit further out they’re more reasonable, but the immediate Boston metro has to be full of millionaires with plenty of cash to throw around because there’s no other way that real estate prices would be where they are.
  9. Oh man, so glad to see you back @Bob Chill!
  10. And it looks to continue to for many more weeks to come. I'm planning to head up to VT this weekend, pending my COVID test result.
  11. Yup same here, close to 2” and roads are just like they were the other day.
  12. Coming down much better now. Very pretty outside. 1.5” new
  13. It’s very lame around here but thankfully I was never very emotionally invested in this event. I won’t even call it a storm.
  14. Well damn, Tom Brady really is the GOAT. Incredible achievement. At age 43 no less.
  15. Yeah it sure is. Almost makes me want to drive around town rather than watch the Super Bowl. Definitely looks and feels like deep winter now. Total is around 9" here and it seems to be ending now.
  16. Those experts nailed it, in spite of a lot of doubt on the guidance. Very well done.
  17. 8.6”, with all of it since late morning. Still coming down moderately.
  18. Closing in on 7" now, still with heavy snow. It's been like this nearly all day. Best storm yet since I moved to New England, even if it doesn't end up being the highest total.
  19. Still ripping +SN I’ve gotta say, there hasn’t been a single boring moment in this storm so far. No lulls, no subsistence, just consistent moderate to heavy snow with excellent snow growth.
  20. Closing in on 3” now. Amazing. The band can sit here as long as it wants, no need to run anywhere.
  21. Awesome. 1.7” here in Cumberland, the band is sitting over me and temp is 30. Looking much better than last week.
