  1. Go to your MD casa. Then I can get those SE ticks and we’re both happy.
  2. I guess why I thought okay. It looked uniform here to Boston an CT. With a jack north.
  3. Someone can correct me but that Euro run seemed to be good to okay here to Phin and of course the jack points in between.
  4. Seems that model “consensus” was geater 36 hours ago than now. Tenor of the season.
  5. Don’t they always. Sometimes I feel it’s definitely warranted. Sometimes it’s ridiculous. In this case it’s 50-50. So I can get the hedging
  6. Just looking at Philly forum the best snow total in Emass is 7” on the Ukie. Basically same amount across LI. Ct and NNE are left out.
  7. Would us far eastern areas make up some ground after this time?
  8. Really coming down again for last 1/2 hour. Cleared the driveway and now completely covered again
  9. Yep. About 2” here too. But barely snowing now.
  10. I was 11 y.o. Had a paper route. Thought that delivering papers during the January storm was tough until the Blizzard three weeks later. I vividly remember thundersnow on 2/6/78 at about 10:00 PM. Snow was about 3 feet of cement here. Despite its water content we had drifts of 8-10 feet.
  11. Yeah. I was only 10 for that storm but we got a heck of a lot more than 11 inches here. Warwick probably averages less than Providence but that seems off for that storm.
  12. Over the weekend I had posted a link to a story from Washington Post from early last week about the snows in Japan. Some crazy photos and videos. Puts Weymouth’s famous OES to shame.
  13. Wondering which side of the globe all the cold air is located? If you can’t make it to Spain could always head to Japan. https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2021/01/04/japan-ocean-effect-snow/
  14. I never get tired of reminiscing about ‘78. I was 11. It was like the atmosphere went apesh*t for 3 weeks. We had record setting snow in Jan. And of course 2/6-7 blizzard. But in between was the Cleveland Superbomb. I still remember it started as a brief period of snow.
  15. Yep. It was good here but great for Taunton on North in 2011. Started off getting dry slotted by that first big storm, I think 1/9/11.
  16. I had a family member stuck in Providence for a week-rescued by National Guard. Snow started here about noon Monday 12/6/78. By 2:00 PM it was all out blizzard conditions.
  17. I remember one of the tv weatherpersons saying on 2/7/78 that the storm had stalled. One of my greatest weather event memories.
  18. Hey if it doesn’t snow here can always watch webcams where it is. Just looked at a couple of live cams from Buffalo and Watertown. Just pounding there. Be better watching it outside our windows but always happy to see someone getting it good.
  19. The Grinch paying an early visit here . . . Rain.
  20. Not from Aquidneck Island but I can see it across Mt. Hope Bay. I ended up with about 6 inches. The top 1-2 inches was a frozen layer of sleet. I would imagine most of at least northern part of the island was similar. Maybe less toward Newport.
  21. About 7 inches here. Some mixing overnight cut down accumulations. Some mood flakes all morning.
  22. Fwiw Harv said this morning quiet and cold weekend with a mild up early to mid-week, possible rain just prior to Christmas.
  23. Wind has picked up. Snowfall remains moderate. I normally expect a storm such as this way down here to be post MLK Day. But we take.
