    Just took a walk around and I’m confident in saying we exceeded ‘78 here in Fall River.

    I’m going to try and walk around some tomorrow to assess this in comparison to ‘78. I was 11 y.o. then but still have some vivid memories.

    Reports of 33 in Dartmouth, and 31 inches in both Somerset and Berkeley. And it’s still coming down.

    Just announced that the Mayor of Fall River has called in all plows because too many were getting stuck.

    I would think there’s at least 2 feet here. But in some places I can see bare ground and in other places 4 foot drifts so who knows. I don’t know how Cumberland, RI has so little.

    Exceeding ‘78 would be something considering there was no stall like in ‘78.

    Yes. I agree. I should also note that at least for here the cold periods in the 80s were also punctuated by very warm periods. So I find it no different from the warm spells we have now.

    The 81-82 winter turned out very good for the interior, especially CNE. I was in central NH for a weekend in late January, 1982 and the pack was like 3 feet.

    I’ve said on here many times before that the December 81 storm was one of my favorites. The flow remained NNW during the storm. Had it been NNE that time of year it would have mostly rained like in December, 1992.

    Patriots vs. Seahawks in Superbowl. Just like in February 1, 2015. And we know what followed.

    I think that Box map is going to bust down here. It’s been coming down since 7:00 so we’ve probably already added about 1.5 inches.
