  1. Mediocre spare part.. The starting pitching injuries are going to be the death of this team. Hopefully Grayson gets back in a few weeks. Outside of him and Burnes we mostly have a bunch of number 5 starters/middle relief guys. Suarez is our number 3, and he has been solid in relief as well. Kimbrel should be relegated to mop up, on a night like tonight.
  2. 0.55" 1.68" for the week. Only a tenth or so was directly associated with Debby lol.
  3. Cool gusty winds and now pouring.
  4. Incoming based on radar. Looks impressive but not hearing any thunder. Quick shot of heavy rain perhaps.
  5. Some of the Mesos have been depicting this, esp the HRRR and FV3 Hi Res. There is a bit of an upper level disturbance moving through that is acting as the trigger.
  6. 86/66. Quite pleasant outside compared to the last week or so.
  7. The Ravens uncanny bad luck keeping CBs healthy continues. And it got worse last night. Harbaugh being dumb also contributed. Why was he still playing in the third quarter after the display he put on in the first half? Rookie CB Nate Wiggins’ shoulder injury creates uneasy feeling for Ravens https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5692287/2024/08/10/ravens-nate-wiggins-injury-preseason/
  8. Its notably less humid out there this morning than the past week. The dews will lower as we go through the day, and with HP to our NW much of this week, temps and humidity levels will be in the comfortable range. Forecast here from tomorrow through Thursday has high temps between 81 and 85, and lows 62-66. That is normal to slightly below for mid August.
  9. 1.12" here. Most of it was associated with the front that sagged south leading in (PRE) and not the actual remnant low. Too far east.
  10. Just gusty winds and clouds here. Very little rain since the Wed morning into early afternoon period. Hopefully a line or 2 will roll through here this afternoon. Sitting at just under an inch now.
  11. Snippet from Mount Holly early morning AFD- The other thing we are starting to get more concerned about for Friday is the severe weather threat. CAPEs will not be particularly large but there will be a tremendous amount of low level shear (0-1 km shear 30-40+ knots) and helicity along with lowering LCLs. This will create favorable conditions for tornados to develop which is not uncommon for scenarios like this where a tropical system passes to the west. Forecast guidance continues to indicate a squall line of sorts passing through the area late in the afternoon into the evening from west to east. There could be tornadic circulations that develop within this line as well as in earlier cells and clusters that develop and move through south to north ahead of the line.
  12. Cutting edge. No one else sees this. Not a hint on guidance. Lucky to have him.
  13. 0.85" today. Glad to have that much in the bank. That is a win given the track of the remnant low will be pretty far west of here. Another half inch total over the next couple days is probably a realistic outcome for my yard.
  14. Got lucky with the scattered/pulsing activity over here today. A few tropical downpours have produced 0.76".
  15. It will be a bust over here for the week ending this Saturday. Haven't had anything yet, despite forecasts of 1-2"+ this past weekend into last night. Being this far east of the low track will likely result in some winners and many more losers.
  16. I've been home almost a week and seen no rain. It drizzled a bit when I was asleep a few days ago. Hopefully a scattered shower or 2 manages to move over my yard in the next few days.
  17. It isn't really though. Look at h5. Big differences wrt the timing and depth of the NS energy. Euro and CMC are pretty similar.
  18. Lots of action around last evening and managed a brief power failure, but barely enough rain to wet the ground. Betwixt and between. 2 day total here is a couple hundredths. Things tend to even out, so probably due to be unlucky here for awhile after all the rain the last 3 weeks.
  19. Nothing here. It's clear the rain has been abundant here while I was gone though. Got up early and mowed the weeds and what's left of the grass. Pulled a bunch of weeds out of the driveway. Flower beds are loaded with weeds. Gotta pick away at it.
  20. Double that before we experience any actual Fall weather.
  21. @frd looks like N DE HAMMERED!!!
