That thing goes down a lot more than it should. Usually something mechanical related directly to the radar. You mean they don't have a backup hard drive? Or how about a redundant system? Piss-poor IT they have there.

Looks active. Heavy rain threat tonight and tomorrow, with maybe some isolated damaging winds, more storms over the weekend, with a severe potential on Sunday maybe. Then we wait and see what the tropical impacts will be next week.

Most of my grass is torched but some serious rain would be fun and different.

Stalled/decaying fronts, fresh new fronts, waves moving along fronts, and tropical remnants. Looks wet over the next week. Lets hope. Heat with no action is boring af.

I was too lazy to walk beyond by wooded oasis to see it. But the amber glow was incredible. Actually made all the brown patches in my yard look attractive.

GFS has been advertising a wet period, but more so for southern parts of the area. 18z moved the heavy precip totals a bit north though. With a stalled front hanging just to the south and some ul perturbations moving through, there should be some chances.

And apparently several Marlins players knew they were positive well before the game with the Phillies yesterday, per multiple sources. It was clear this could go badly. Best laid plans... this may be unraveling early. Human nature.

Phillies game too. Then there is the player who got permission to leave the NBA bubble for a funeral, stopped off at a strip club, and came back with COVID. This wont end well, or should I say, it will end soon lol. eta- he is in quarantine, not positive for covid(yet)

I don't even care at this point. Despite a bunch of rain the last few weeks, half my grass has burned to hell lol. Cant find a tall fescue that is durable enough to survive the mid summer heat in full sun here. All the trees are problematic too, pulling moisture and nutrients away from the grass. I am rooting for dry now. Have some mosquitoes for the first time this year.

This could absolutely happen. Some mediocre team that has an early hot streak, while a legit good team struggles to get going and doesn't make it.(Yanks hopefully) What was the Nats record after 60 games last season?
