  1. April at the beach...not gonna be quite the same experience as say June lol. I like the beach anytime of year, and tbh, I go to Rehoboth more in the offseason and enjoy it more. I am not a sun worshipper who likes to sit on the beach though. I go to Cape Henlopen in Lewes and hike and walk out onto the beach where Dunes are. Way more fun and can do it in Fall and winter and its even better imo.
  2. Who exactly are the people 'hiding at home'? Be specific. And it sounds to me like you must be pretty sheepish, because anyone who is "out there living", is complying with COVID mandates and protocols, or you wont be getting too far. Well, maybe you have a private jet. The rest of us just wear the masks when required, and- wait for it- we don't hide at home.
  3. Last I checked there aren't too many who are fully vaccinated. The reality is masks are still required to enter stores/places of business, and in most cases one's place of work. How about Airports? Airplanes? Yes, it seems like the reasonable thing to do. Or you can refuse to mask up and essentially shelter in place, have everything delivered, and hang out in the back yard or whatever. At least you would have your "freedom" I guess. You don't do that though. You do exactly what everyone else does. The drive-by hyperbolic grandstanding posts are entertaining though, lol.
  4. "hiding out with masks on" lol 'People' are living, and wearing masks where it is required and prudent to do so. Can't say I have come across a single person who is sheltering in place over COVID and waiting for some official OK from Fauci. What a pathetic misrepresentation of reality.
  5. I see lots of mid 60s-low 70s in my forecast over the next week. That is pretty "normal" for mid to late April. Thursday looks a bit cooler with high around 60. For those looking at the LR GFS and saying it looks 'cold', remember- this is the MA and it is Spring and it is always a good bet to take the over on advertised high temps. Plus, it is the GFS.
  6. I hope you are going to DFH while you are at the beach. Chesapeake & Maine usually has aged WWS/120 min IPA on tap. And stop at the brewery in Milton- the shop there has all the WWS varieties plus aged ones, and aged 120s. 16 bucks a bottle but worth getting a couple, as both are supposedly better with age. I picked up a 2008 WWS last weekend.
  7. If you lived here you would love the wind this time of year. If it were calm I would have wasps all over trying to make nests and those little flies that try to drink your eye juice. Plus I have been out in the sun most of the day doing work and no sweat. Given what's to come for months, I cherish days like this.
  8. There seem to be some differing opinions about April weather lol. Seems pretty typical to me, and I like it. Maybe the weather here is much different today, but I will take upper 50s, partly to mostly sunny, and some stiff breezes in mid April. No bugs! Looks like low to mid 60s from tomorrow through next week, and maybe a 70 or two. Fairly dry too.
  9. Had some clouds roll through here the last hour but back to mostly sunny. Currently 58 and breezy. Perfect day for sanding the steps on my deck. Should get them stained here shortly.
  10. Mostly sunny and upper 50s. A stiff breeze. Cant wait! Meanwhile you can fantasize about upper 80s and humid. Just a few short weeks away. Maybe sooner.
  11. 59, 62, 64 are the forecast highs here the next 3 days, with not much chance of rain and at least partly sunny each day. In mid April, pretty much perfect for me. I wouldn't care if I don't see a another 70 degree temp until May.
  12. No complaints here. Only 0.2" of rain, and it fell from late afternoon through midnight. Today looks like it will dry out with some sun later. Tomorrow and the weekend look glorious, with only a slight chance of a shower late Sat night/early Sunday.
  13. 62 and partly sunny. Perfect outside other than the gross smelling fresh cow flop based fertilizer on the fields out in front of my property. #ruralliving
  14. Bourbon Barrel Aged WWS for happy hour. Superb.
  15. Cloudy day here with a high of 56. Dry though. Currently 47, with maybe a light sprinkle heading this way per radar.
  16. Its best to eradicate any infestation(wd-40 or an insecticide) and then plug the holes in the fall- don't plug until the larvae are dead, or the woodpeckers will come get them. Put the traps up in those locations. Carpenter bees always come back to the previous nesting site, so without the opening to the actual nest there, they go right into the traps. I have fought this for many years owning a log home, and this will give the best results. Still have to monitor for drilling in new locations, and place traps as needed.
  17. How bout dem Red Sox. Os seem to be finding their level lol.
  18. Looks like the coastal low gets going offshore, so odds favor higher impact NE of here. Probably will be a period of showers, esp for eastern areas maybe Thursday, but my hunch is we mostly stay on the drier west side, so the bark may be worse than the bite looking at h5. eta- upper 50s/low 60s are fine with me. Ofc I will be stuck inside working all week so it wont matter much lol. Would be nice in the evenings outside of any showery periods.
  19. Some heavy rain showers here this morning, but didn't hear any thunder. 0.45" See how much clearing we can get later. Might pop a few t-storms.
  20. Looks like partly sunny all next week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Maybe a random shower here and there. Hard to complain about that if it verifies.
  21. get both. picked them up today. the 120 is like no other IPA, and the raison is superb imo.
  22. Yeah baby. It's been awhile. This bad boy is big. BIG. Just gonna sip it. (see that danger cap?)
  23. They have plenty in the shop at the DFH Brewery in Milton, along with the regular WWS and other hard to find high gravity beers. I haven't seen it at any stores locally for a long time. Make a reservation online and you can go into the tap room and eat and drink, or eat/drink outside. It was pretty packed today as the sun came out early down there. Cool place if you haven't been yet.
