  1. Yeah it rained hard, with some rumbles of thunder. Had more impressive thunder from the earlier line that split and gave me nothing lol. Places not too far south of here got hammered pretty good.
  2. Still looking good for a wet period coming up. Latest guidance, esp the GFS and CMC, really dig the h5 trough(and close it off) inducing a low that lifts up the coast on Sunday. If something like that verifies there would be more rain Sunday into Sunday night, esp for eastern parts of the region. CMC looks like the worst case, but would still salvage Monday at the beaches.
  3. Finally did get some rain overnight with the remnants of that second line, so I am on the board. 0.62" I don't think I will be rooting for dry, unless there is a repeat of last summer when I had 8"+ for 3 straight months. Was a bit much. And the grass still fried lol.
  4. The DC split grew as it moved ENE. Hearing thunder, but not going to see a drop of rain with this line. Maybe later.. but for now 16+ days with no measurable rain.
  5. 90/74. A bit too much. Unless I can score a good boomer.
  6. We did the over-under 60 I think. My take was a reasonable goal was to avoid 100 losses.
  7. Yeah baby bring me that cold pool induced convective development. Been sunny all day, temp is 90, and the dews are high. This airmass is buoyant. eta- DP is 73 here. Mid summer sultriness out there. I am sure all convection will manage to avoid my yard though.
  8. Hopefully we end the month with a good soaking. Sorry for you beach goers, but its been too damn dry. Only 0.83" here for May, augmented by watering over the last few days.
  9. Dry. Probably had some drizzle. Cool though.
  10. GEFS and GEPS look pretty wet for late week/weekend.
  11. Maybe a pity sprinkle around here today. Better chance of something more significant west of DC. At least we get one cool(dry) day before the hot/dry comes back in. 63 currently and quite breezy.
  12. And wtf is with this? Do they really think this looks good? Or they don't understand wheel offset? It must be a purposeful thing, crazy as it seems. Literally every truck I see around here features this abomination. I remember when cops used to pull you over and hand out inspection tickets for shit like this.
  13. Only noise around here is farm equipment, and redneck trucks with muffler delete.
  14. It will be 20+ degrees cooler tomorrow. Maybe even a sprinkle or 2. Early October-like.
  15. First 90 of the season here. Very breezy though so it doesn't feel bad out there at all.
  16. Drinking a DFH 90 Min (Imperial) IPA. Have not had this in probably 2 years. This is a classic. It has that prominent malt backbone I remember, but seems more hoppy, right up front, and straight through to the finish. Dank. I like it better now for some reason. They changed the artwork on the bottle- I wonder if they tweaked the recipe a bit. Probably not. I have just been drinking too many NE style Hazy IPAs lol. eta- the malty/slightly sweet backbone really balances out the piney/dank hoppy character as this warms. New appreciation for this one. I normally go straight for the beast- the 120.
  17. Yeah its not bad. Nice breeze and a dry heat for the most part. It is super dry out there though.
  18. 88 Feels like mid July.
  19. Yeah it shouldn't be struggling on a day like this. Other than charge, might want to check filter(s) and the often overlooked dirty condenser/evaporator coils. A couple years ago I had to clean the A coil in my indoor unit- it can get caked with fine dirt/lint that gets past the filter over time.
  20. Mesos too. ICON is similar to Euro, but without the heavy amounts. I think there will be some showers around as the backdoor front moves in and the winds shift to onshore- convergence zone? Doesn't look like a ton of moisture available though. With the frontal boundary nearby and vacillating over the next several days, there should be some chances later in the week and weekend.
  21. With strong HP ridging down from Quebec, the frontal boundary will likely be pushed pretty far SW. There will be some showers/storms but I would expect any heavier rain will be focused from DC west and especially southwestward.
  22. Been outside waxing the Jeep and planting some Petunias. Noticeably more humid than the last several days. 83 currently. Feels like MA summer.
  23. You could have omitted the "wx" designation.
  24. This guy is a regular contributor to CWG?
