  1. Meanwhile the Boss performed at Camden Yards last night.
  2. Hard to see them digging out at this point.
  3. Models are in better agreement now on the HP sliding off the NE coast. This allows the low off the SE coast to track northward with an impressive feed of tropical moisture. We need this.
  4. Latest QPF through D7 from WPC. The region is on the edge.
  5. High pressure to the north weakens/slides off the coast on the GFS. Euro keeps it entrenched.
  6. Running the sprinkler 2 hours each evening to keep the new grass going. I have more to do, but not going to seed any new areas until it rains.
  7. The atmospheric blocking pattern looks persistent on the means. The h5 ridge in that position will maintain a surface high to the north/northeast. Remains to be seen if moisture associated with any tropical/subtropical low off the SE coast can make it this far north if that block doesn't weaken some.
  8. The CFS runs multiple times a day. TT has the average of the last 12 runs- which removes some of the 'noise'. Still if you look at it over a period of a week or so, it changes quite a bit. WB is ridiculous and not worth looking at imo. Just looked at TT and the general h5 look is pretty similar to previous runs to me. Feb looks much colder than previous runs. The basic idea is all that can be gleaned from any of these climate models- generally they all show boiler plate Nina looks. A Poleward biased Aleutian ridge is the key feature of interest for our region to have a cold period or 2.
  9. Bengals lose to the lowly Pats at home, and now have to go play at Chiefs. They do seem to get off to slow starts lately for some reason. I almost want them to win this week..
  10. Adley is especially hard to watch at the plate. Been awful for awhile. Hitting .176 since the end of June.
  11. I mean, I was cheering for the guy to do well today. What a fail. A typical ugly Steelers win. All they have are backup QBs, and will manage to win 10 easily.
  12. Yeah the Giants aren't very good, but a nice win regardless. Wish my team wasn't 0-1 lol. And how bout Cousins being Cousins. Miss him? He always manages to get the big payday despite being an ugly duckling QB who mostly fails when it matters, while always compiling 'good' numbers. Penix trending on X lol.
  13. Windy with plenty of leaves flying out of the stressed trees. Very brief shower.
  14. The refs needed to set the tone for the new area of emphasis lol. Fine. Apply it evenly. I mean, what other team could have almost beaten the Chiefs in that setting without playing their best? The Bills maybe. Ravens will be ok. Three new O-linemen, a new 32 yo D Coordinator- there was a major breakdown in coverage that led to a 'free' TD, among other issues. A Ravens D doesn't give up 27 often. They should get better as the season goes on. They won't finish 13-4 and be frontrunners blowing teams out like last season. Probably a good thing. They might need to be a team that has to scratch and claw for a win to get in and not coast down the stretch. That failed in 2019 and again last year. Might make them sharper and better prepared heading into the playoffs.
  15. There were plenty of the usual non-calls against the Chiefs. Yes, they truly are the new Patriots. They will win 3 more easily.
  16. Based on what Lamar said afterwards, and looking at the replay, it appears he had his eyes on Bateman and was expecting him to be in that spot- you can see him on the left side of the screen running his route and seems to pull up. Either way it was a missed opportunity.
  17. Pretty much. Just too sloppy to beat that team at their place. The missed throw to Flowers open in the endzone a play or 2 earlier was big. He was open and Lamar sailed it instead of throwing a dart. Gotta make that throw in that moment.
  18. Likely's feet are too big. Nice to see the refs continue to contribute to the success of the Chiefs. I guess Illegal formation is a new 'point of emphasis'. As usual plenty of non/missed calls against the Chiefs. As expected the Ravens OL a little shaky, and the Defense was a bit too porous against the pass. Nate Wiggins please. Lamar played well, but he won't last the season if he has to do that every game.
  19. NFL is back! What a way to start. Wish the Ravens weren't on the road against KC right off the bat. OL may take awhile to gel. Lamar is due to have a big game against the Chiefs- only 1-4 and the numbers are pretty mediocre. Best case is the OL can get some push and Henry breaks some big runs to open things up. eta- more than 6 rush attempts please.
  20. That's what I have been doing. I do a section at a time. I just put more seed down yesterday, and with no significant rain in sight, the watering will have to continue.
  21. Maybe a few passing sprinkles? Very dry here after below avg rain in August. Sprinkler working overtime.
