  1. That is mainly in the eastern zones, where we want it. I'm still not sold on moderate.
  2. https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2021/08/matching-tropical-surface-stratosphere.html
  3. Do you have the link for the weekly data? The site that I use stopped updating in January...
  4. Forecast for Henri worked out well, as didn't expect it to make landfall as a hurricane. Highest gust, 70mph at Point Judith, RI. Highest rainfall total, so far in New England is 5.00" in Manchester, CT. We probably aren't done with tropical threats in New England this season. https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2021/08/tropical-storm-henri-verification.html
  5. March 2006 could have easily been a pretty snowy month, but we just couldn't buy a break...kind of like last January.
  6. Its a tool that is more useful some seasons than others, like everything else.
  7. NYC is $ucked with all of that rain...wow.
  8. Yea, this was purely hydro for me since I saw it get sheared to shit at 30+ latitude...that is game over for anything for than marginal cane.
  9. Yea, the main show is rains....the east shift if anything exacerbates the issue for you guys.
  10. Other than surge, west of landfall sees higher impact bc it's where the flooding rains will be
  11. Told you guys last night NHC would sway back east.
  12. No, just won't be most prominent threat...it said in the blog, TS force gusts interior.
  13. Final Call: https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2021/08/hurricane-warnings-in-effect-for.html
  14. It's called steady state...its not going to dissipate, either.
  15. Yea, I was talking to you, not at.
  16. Find one person to claim I have dissapeared following a bad forecast, and I'll own it. As for having a blog in relation to a hobby without being famous...guilty.
  17. I wonder if they will disappear for months following a bad forecast?
  18. I'll do Final this evening, but I am pretty comfy with the going forecast...mainly just an update to include rainfall totals and perhaps a tickle east...I'm good with the intensity forecast.
  19. The evacuation of energy is every bit as important as the ingest, just the same as it is with respect to human beings. This is why you can't just stare at SST charts in a vacuum to inform forecasts.
  20. Bingo....that was always our only avenue to history with Henri, and it too looks to fail.
