Might be time to start looking at the GM, and the type of players he drafts, or doesnt. Multiple coaches, same results? The OL is not very good, and that's on him. Stanley is on his last legs but there apparently wasn't much discussion of drafting a young LT. Simpson is a mediocre retread, and we have a center who has made 2 starts in the NFL. Not very good for a team that's supposed to have SB aspirations. Vega will probably be an above avg guard, but he got beat badly on that last play and caused Lamar to hurry his throw. The defense? Not giving up the big plays but allowed the Saints to move the ball methodically and eat clock in the second half. And they scored and kept the Raven's offense on the bench. Slow bleed is probably worse than giving up a big chunk play. At least the offense gets the ball back with some time.

I look at it this way: It's possible that this could be a sign of growth on his part that carries over into next year. And also...of all the horrible ABs we've seen with RISP this year, that was by far THE stupidest: so bad that he couldn't help but call it out.

If EDC is the problem, we are in big trouble for years to come and Lamar's ring is out the window--because Biscotti is not firing him unless the team continues to fail to make the playoffs. I am hoping that it's just that EDC has a blindspot/stubbornness for just the OL as opposed to the DNA of the players he drafts. The ladder would be the worst case scenario. The former I think can be overcome eventually (although whether that's this year remains to be seen. I think the SB window is gonna be between now and the end of next season.)

He's awful  He needs to go.

No reason to believe anything changes by keeping him around

It's weak sauce by Albernaz.

Calling out a fringe player when your season is over doesn't mean much. Call out Gunner for selfish at bats would be a better sign he's  growing a pair.

Look at what KC did in the offseason. Upgraded their RBs, OL, and let expensive players go and drafted replacements. It amazes me how they can pick up really good players and somehow stay under the cap. 

At this point I would think Lamar and Andrews would have the same chemistry as Maholmes and Kelce. Its not 100% but Kelce is usually good for 3-4yds with bonus YAC much of the time. I hoped we would use Andrews in the same way.

We don't know what conversations have been happening NOT in public, though More calling out happens privately than publicly. Most managers will defend their players to a degree. For example, I don't think I've heard the Toronto manager calling out Vladdy publicly for having a bad year. Alby was asked about that specific play and it was so dumb he had to say something. It's a little different from an ongoing issue at the plate.

Andrews isn't what he once was, nor is Kelce. I like Hibner and hopefully he gets more playing time. Getting Zay back asap will make a huge difference, but the OL will continue to be problematic with pass protection. Hopefully Lamar can avoid big hits by moving in the pocket, buying time, and making some big plays downfield- or taking off and running. He needs to do more of that when nothing is open downfield.
