Uncle Nasty
I swear, last one haha The rates earlier were insane, what a cool experience. Check out this high shutter speed photo! Looks like noise I'm jealous. I'm down in Ooltewah wondering how much snow is on our property near you. I'm guessing the end of Window Rock Rd got a good inch or so. Jed33
It’s picked back up here again in the last 30min. Quarter sized flakes mixing in at times but also some graupel as well.
John1122
Added about 1/2 inch of snow from the NW this afternoon. Looks like more upstream as dark approaches. Temp is down to 30.

John1122
These snow squalls are amazing. Near blizzard conditions with them. Just had 28mph winds and 1/8th mile vis for about ten minutes. 3
Daniel Boone
Currently 28 degrees, 87% Humidity. Dp. 24.4. Flurries . Had a couple moderate , gusty Snshwrs after the Synoptic ended that mounted to just a dusting more. Most NWFS has missed my home so far. I watch some heavy area's move across Stone Mountain just to my North and cross near Pennington gap and move to my NE.

We have had a nice, steady snow since mid afternoon on the east side of Kingsport...nice little March surprise. Didn't stick at all for quite a while, but have a nice dusting now.
BuCoVaWx
I have around 4 inches of snow accumulation on grass, vehicles etc. Not much on the main roads, some rough secondary roads as night falls. It's still snowing in waves now. Looks to be letting up soon though.
John1122
Another heavy squall underway out there currently. The wind kicks up, vis drops below 1/4th mile and it just rips for 15 or so minutes.
Carvers Gap
Thunder this morning around 7:45AM. Even by Thunder in the Mountain standards(7-10 days)…this has been a fast turn around to snow!!! Severe weather last night and snow tonight. What a cold front.
Runman292
Think oak ridge had a very light dusting, then it melted in just 10 minutes once the snow stopped. Wasn't expecting anything, so not really disappointed. Quiet winter for sure snow wise here.
John1122
Today will get me to 20 inches of snow on the season. It mostly came 1 to 3 inches at a time. Snow was falling a lot from November to now, Mid March.
Knoxtron
Wish I was better about recording all the nickel and Dime events we received this year, I'd be curious to see how close we are to John (definitely less than him) Flurries never stopped and still ongoing with nearly clear skies. Got down to 17 this am, currently 22 and appears we will stay below freezing today. Guessing the snow will dissappear very quickly with the sun angle Ignore the abundance of half completed projects at my house lol

Carvers Gap
If that had arrived at any other time of the day than peak sun angles….4-5” would have accumulated here. MBY prob picked up 0.5” of snow at two different times.

MBY prob picked up 0.5” of snow at two different times. As far as continuous snow, yesterday afternoon was probably the heaviest I have seen in a while. I Had probably 3 to 4 hours of snow falling between moderate to heavy. However, when the CAA started, some of those snow blobs might have only lasted 20 to 30 minutes, but it was white out at times. I feel like in my area, It snow probably 3 to 6 inches but the most I actually had laying on the ground was probably about 3/4 of an inch and that was after dark. Also yesterday I posted the HRRR and said for 4 runs in a roll, it had N Knox Co, S Union Co, SW Granger and into Jeff C getting a localized swath of heaver snow in the valley. Here’s the HRRR and the radar…I cant ever get gifs to load but here’s a radar screen shots during the NW flow…That was some of the heaviest snow I’ve seen all year. .

March brings energy to the atmosphere that doesn't exist most of the time in December and January especially. The hardest snow I've ever seen falling was in a March squall. It snowed 1.5 inches in 15 minutes with strong winds and near zero visibility. It was sunny 10 minutes later.

Daniel Boone
Totalled 3.7 inches at my house. There was 4 inches in fields and on an old mower I have out back. Had it all accumulated there'd probably been 5-6 inches. There's been a lot of Sun here this Afternoon that has quickly melted most if it. A large area of off and on Snow showers are moving west to east just to the North. Some look heavy. If that area had moved further South we may have racked up another inch or two on the Total.
