Not to be morbid on a weather thread, but my dear mother in law just passed away Sunday night. I was there with her until the end. Just like we both were with my wife 6 years ago. She was like a second Mom to me.

I can remember in 2010 during that storm, getting stuck heading home to my wife from work. She was a big snow lover like us. So was her Mom. They're all up in heaven now. It would figure that we would finally get pummeled with a big one with them gone and I can't enjoy it with them.

I can remember looking at the models prior to the 2010 storm and my wife constantly asking me what I was seeing on them as we were getting excited for the possibility of a big snowstorm.

I'd like to think they are up there now and they will in some way influence this and give me that next big one. I'm hurting all over again and I could definitely use something to get excited about as I grieve all over again.

Thanks for reading this guys. Sorry to interrupt with something completely different but important for me to share. I've known you guys a long time. Thank you.

Hey, no worries. Sorry for your loss. Maybe if we do reel this one in its a sign from them they are ok and happy to see each other again, and a subtle nod to you to enjoy the snow and they will see you soon, but not too soon.

Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing. My father in law passed in Late November we were very close. He wasn't a snow lover though like your family. Prayers and blessings to you and your family.

I'm really sorry for your loss as well. In times like this, it's definitely good to have a hobby as a distraction. Fun to at least track no matter what happens. But here's to this one paying off. And no sleet or drizzle! Lol

what time does the Euro start? Im debating staying up or going to bed. Seems like this is going to be a long week with many nights ahead

Probably wont know until 1245. I think it starts at 1230 on some sites.

how much further north do we want this thing to keep going? The GFS has moved about 350 miles in 48 hours already. If it keeps that pace, the storm will make it to Toronto

I guess we may not want a full phase and pump the se ridge too much. Not sure if these big changes happen due to recon missions.

I would hate to have 18 inches then rain on top making the snow so heavy. But I would love 18 inches... Gonna be anxious next few days wondering how each run will go. Guess gotta stay up for EURO.

If it snows 18”, I won’t care what happens after the last flake falls :-)

Honestly, I’d probably throw out the Ukie at this point. Seriously doubt the inland low plows into that high pressure like that.

I’m going to continue to root for the others to come north. The GFS was just a correction. It’s not going to continue to jump at that pace given the other guidance out there. We have a lot of wiggle room on the others
