My sister, BIL, and niece were just there July 3rd.  I haven't been there (or Chanticleer) in many years but I know it's probably incredible right now!

I managed to hit 90 today just after 3:30 pm after a low of 67.  The humidity is definitely back though and will probably get worse as some of the moisture from the remnants of TD Chantal get sucked up here.

It's currently a mostly sunny 85 with dp 72.

The NWS has issued a flood watch for today and a heat advisory for tomorrow. There is a growing threat of flash flooding for some spots across the area. Forecast models have been a bit inconsistent on exactly where these will be so will be keeping an eye on those radars. We should remain warm and humid all week with the hottest day being tomorrow where some lower elevation spots may touch the low 90's. Ridge locations will likely fall just short of 90. We turn a bit cooler but still humid by the end of the week with temperatures a few degrees below normal during the afternoons but a few degrees above normal at night.

Haven't been following the accuracy of the models, but Mt Holly stated that the models have been underestimating rainfall totals and coverage.

GFS/CMC/RGEM/12k NAM say what rain is this?

3k NAM and now the Hrrr finally show some isolated spots of heavy showers
