CPcantmeasuresnow
1.57 inches. Looking 25 miles west to Port Jervis. Looks like about a half an inch. This would've been a very tough cut off line between eastern and Western Orange County had this been a winter event. I guess since the whole county needed rain, it's a tough cut off period.
gravitylover
Local sites range from 2.1 to 2.7, less west and more east. The first few hours I sat here with some mist and drizzle while 2 miles away it was steady rain. If it was snow I would've been really frustrated.

I’ve lived that with snow scenario a number of times, I just tell myself all snow melts eventually, sooner rather than later these days. It’s also why I appreciate whatever snowfall I get.

gravitylover
That's good. Dry out some of these fallen leaves to make it easier to clean up. I need a warm day Saturday, dry would be a bonus.

hudsonvalley21
35 was the low here. Another year I couldn’t make it to Halloween without putting the heat on. Good day to put away some outdoor stuff with the possibility of some stormy weather mid to late next week.

I broke down and turned on the upstairs zone. Most of my outdoor stuff is put away and gardens cut down, I have some chairs and two outdoor speakers left. I keep those two out there as long as possible and will sometimes hook them up for a day in nicer weekend weather during the winter. Leaves are at least 90% done here, just one more clean up for those.
