Low topped squall line/strong wind threat

Meh - LLJ is decent - 70 knots of so but compared to other events like this that we get it's not that unusual. There's a very strong inversion and all the CAPE we have tomorrow is quite elevated and bottled up. I think even in convection it's going to be hard to get much. 

 

Yeah there will be a rather strong inversion in place.  Had the timing occurred later though when we would have higher surface temperatures and some higher dews, that would have limited the inversion and steeper low level lapse rates would have assisted with better mixing.  

 

It's rather interesting though the SPC is maintaining the slight risk so far eastward...typically in these setups they aren't this bullish for us but this time they are and it's quite intriguing...unfortunately though their text has no mention of us so not sure of their reasoning (although I guess it isn't hard to figure out).

 

I wouldn't rule out anything though from eastern CT/RI/eastern MA late tomorrow morning.
