  1. This would’ve been a fun (hair-pulling) winter storm to track. I agree with your hallucinations!
  2. Do we have the most interesting weather, or the most trigger happy forecast office
  3. Sure, why not. https://twitter.com/TonyPannWBAL/status/1422913395486040066?s=20 "Last time we were coming out of a solar min cycle, we had a monster winter: 2009/10. The time before that in the winter of 2002/3, we had 58" of snow. Now I'm not saying correlation is causation, but....we will be in that spot this winter!"
  4. appreciate the Overlee sneak diss, assuming that was the intent. sure there are others, but that one always comes to mind. some great people go there, but that's an uppity pool.
  5. the benefit (or negative, depending on perspective) of a smaller league like the CSL is that the better teams have 40+ kids showing up to all-stars. Less of an accomplishment I suppose, but makes it a great team environment.
  6. Thought I was gonna get shafted today but the weather switched pretty quick. Nice showers.
  7. Lines up with my family vacation out there as well. This is why we usually don’t go to the beach in August!
  8. The storm north of Columbia is (obviously) really interesting. Plenty of things in its way if it gets its act even more together.
  9. maybe after I graduate! Arlington is probably going to be too expensive for me in the short term… Nice little spinny shrimp storms west of Taneytown.
  10. tornado watches are always exciting... if only I had one. Fully acknowledging the discussion between HM and Ian, I'd like some sun. Maybe it's not crucial, but it can't hurt.
  11. Sun has been in and out of the clouds in Arlington since 9:00 or so. As soon as it pops out it the atmosphere just feels primed.
  12. Around Washington-Liberty, yeah it was. Touched down near the Chipotle off 29. Anyways, seems like you might’ve had a decent microburst near you. Just a guess from these photos, but Nottingham took a beating.
  13. Think you might’ve been… tornado day was rather memorable. July 1st, IIRC.
  14. Right after I sent the message the power went out but luckily has returned, for the time being. Got way gustier than I expected for a few minutes. Still definitely #2, but last few minutes were intense.
  15. Dumping and power flickering. Doesn’t compare to the tornadic one earlier this summer, but probably second best of the summer, unless I’m forgetting anything.
  16. Hearing a lot of distant thunder in Arlington. Looks like a good one coming in.
  17. That has been one slow moving blob of rain. Fairly impressive totals. Getting some decent drizzle now here.
  18. Wasn't all that much, but was really heavy for a minute or two. Sun is already shining again.
  19. Looked outside and pretty shocked to see it raining. Woo pop-up storms.
  20. Google Photos says that was Feb. 11, 2021 - my memory is already bad but I think that was the second part of the HECS that wasn't from the 10th-12th, the one where the HDRPS dumped 30" on Baltimore.
  21. I was feeling tired of summer so I started digging through my photos from winter... need some more of this ASAP.
