  2. I think you are right, but I'm also pretty sure it didn't qualify as official given the arbitrary 7AM cutoff
  3. Anyone recall any official white christmases for Boston in the 90s?
  4. The Beast turned on the snowguns today
  5. Nice. That's a fun little trail. Did you ever ski Granite Gorge? Another short lift, but fairly steep.

  7. There could be something to that. Sturbridge area might have been the jack and they could actually weakly downslope from hilly terrain to the west. It's all pretty gradual in that stripe along the pike though, and a net rise coming out of the CT valley.
  8. Not sure if it's coincidence, but that little area near the pike in central Mass has done well in the rare anafrontal events we've had, including last Friday, 12/10/19, and 2/2/18. By done well I mean 3-6".
  9. Still totally awesome as of last March
  10. Yep. Get it while the getting is good. First couple warmish sunny days when most of the mountain refuses to soften, Royal Flush and Devils Fiddle are the places to be.
  11. Royal Flush is amazing in the spring too. A true New England classic for the beach on snow days. The canyon in general catches the early season pow that is pretty often blowing around. If you enter Big Dipper and stay in the woods hard skiers left almost coming out onto East Fall that's not only some of the best terrain on the mountain but also the snowiest. Just piles in through there. I'm thinking if some of these systems pan out it could be game on sometime next week.
  12. How bout Killington reporting 16"? Nice base builder.
  13. I had that dappled look to the snow on grass here too and got a few 3" measurements in the puffy spots. But I think you really had to measure on a deck rail or something last night. Either way a nice little surprise.
  14. starting to mix here too, lower down. the narrow little spine of hills on the west side of Quabbin sometimes does well in these events
  15. November 2018 was absolutely sick in VT. This was the morning of 12/1 atop Mt Ellen.
  16. Dense fog and chilly down in the valley this morning. But even at 500' in Btown we were mostly above it, now stunning blue skies.
  17. Quite a short duration pounding there. Same here... major ponding.
  18. I feel like Mt Ellen could get Elbow off the Summit quad open pretty early if they were so inclined, which is a really good cruiser. Upload/download on GMX and lap the top 1000 feet of vert. Trail faces northeast and they do have good snowmaking. But they've never showed the least desire to do so. As it stands it's probably the premier place to skin during the early season, which is something.
  19. The little heart icon was not enough props for that pic. Awesome.
  20. How rigid is the pole? Those crazy rates could be associated with the whole thing shaking back and forth in the wind. Also a chance the little circuit that measures the tips is failing or that you had some debris stuck in there.
