ENX showing a very impressive Hudson Valley shadow. Echoes just disappearing over the Taconics. Interesting case study.
Ct Valley shadow not quite as bad but the radar is higher off the ground too. UMass radar shows decent snow across the adjacent couple towns. Already better than Boxing Day probably.
Anyway, relatively windy by our standards, some decent banding moving into Btown locally.
Nice. I was there too, also on Icelantics ;), first tracks on Goniff and Master Magician, and killer runs down red and green lines. Didn't hang out long enough to get the opening of black magic after the comp. But yeah it was awesome.
Maybe we can get statewide travel bans for 2-3" in the Berks again like we did in Juno
I'd probably sign for the 6+" of arctic sand I got, but do recall being quite disappointed at the time
2" down, started mixing snow pellets in with the snow flakes a little while ago as the best lift started to move out. Looks like we kind of slot behind this and any IP or ZR should be limited before maybe we flip back to snow again later on.
Pretty big model battle underway for day 2.5. Skynet could be way out to lunch here or would be a helluva coup if this whiffs n of the pike. Gfs is just right.
local bust-- half inch last night
no biggie but RGEM, GFS, 12km Nam had all advertised a good amount more at various points. Let's keep the Euro streak going for the next one.
It's actually matching up quite well across Ontario IMO... the sim radar product could be thresholded a bit and may not pick up the weak echoes that extend down across C PA and back into MI, but that stuff won't amount to much anyway.
