The ticket cost for me isn't nearly as bad a deterrent as the no outside food or drink. That's just ridiculous. The cost of paying player and manager/coaches is paramount to have some decent revenue from tickets, but of course merchandising, TV contract, and concession costs help bring it all together. If parking wasn't so insane, it wouldn't be a problem I feel. They are cheaper than other teams I've seen play. When the product is good, the cost becomes less of an issue, but 20 of 23 years of sucking certainly doesn't bring joy to going to games, especially when they are THIS bad.

I'll definitely have to pick and choose sleep, work, and football lol. Knowing me, I'll still make time for Ravens watching. Even if I have a kid on each arm, I'll be that guy haha

I like hockey, but I just can't get into it with my schedule. I follow the Caps and keep up a little with the league, but nothing like the NFL. College Football is fun to watch, but I'm like you with having it on in the background, but not glued. I like baseball, but attending games is worlds more fun than watching on TV. I have basically stopped watching much basketball at all. I follow here and there, but offer no time to actually watch it.

The race to the bottom is on, and man is it BRUTAL to watch. We have flashes of talent this season, but the pitching is literally another level of bad, outside Means. As for football watching, NFL will always be with me forever. I love it way too much, but I officially gave up almost all my fantasy football teams, outside a fun family league I've been doing with my friend since Senior year of High School. I do Draft Kings now, but that's easier to balance with my current schedule of work and life. Once I got married, I try to spend time with my partner in crime, and I love every minute of it. She knows how big a Ravens fan I am, so she lets me have my fun, but I will break from watching once the game is over if she wants to spend time with me. We both love baseball too, so that is really nice to just put on a ball game and watch together, go to games and new stadiums, etc. All about balance! But, NFL will be my love for all eternity. College atmosphere is cool, but there's some parody, it doesn't excite me at all.

I’m definitely late to this, but had some really good food over the past few weeks. I mentioned that I was going to make a special dinner for my wife and I for our anniversary, and it turned out spectacular. This was an American Wagyu filet cooked medium-rare on a cast iron pan. Butter and garlic basted while cooking, and seasoned with kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, and a touch of garlic powder. It was “melt in your mouth” good. Served with a side of hand cut fries and roasted asparagus. Wife was super happy with it, so that was a home run. Looking forward to doing a Wagyu ribeye another time from the same local butcher. Next on the list was a delicious sharing of tacos from a place in Dallas, Velvet Taco. They specialize in all kinds of specialty tacos. My wife had a Buffalo chicken taco and a, “Fish and Chip” taco which was phenomenal. I had the middle two, a Brisket taco topped with a cheese blend and delicious sauce. The other was a pulled pork forward taco with the best damn avocado relish I’ve ever had. Wanted a bowl of it by itself. That’s another story. Last food sharing was when we got back to Maryland. I had to do it. It’s a must….a giant crab cake from Romano’s in Glen Burnie. There’s not much more to be said. I was in heaven. Man oh man, do I miss it. All in all, I’ve had some great food recently. End of next month will be a time between both my wife and I’s bdays. The plan is a weekend in Austin and Fredericksburg, the heart of Hill Country for wining, dining, and fun. I can’t wait to to share our food-ventures there. Until then, look forward to all the different stuff shared here! .

I honestly can't wait to be home at the end of the week to hear this. It was surreal when I was 13 years old on the last Brood swarm. My older sister and my niece and nephew live in the old house I grew up in north of Carney, MD and they said it was super loud there. Can hear it faintly with everything in the house closed up. Crazy

Man. Richmond is just gonna fall into the sun -
Wife and I celebrate our anniversary on Tuesday. I'm going to get a few American Wagyu Filets from the local butcher here and cook them on the cast iron pan with basted butter/garlic/thyme. Thinking roasted asparagus now after seeing @wxtrix pics, as well as loaded baked potatoes. Man, I'm excited to cook!

Try living in an area where 5 out of every 4 people own a truck. Half of them cost more than where they live. Roll coal randomly for no reason. It's ridiculous. I do love me a few trucks, like the Ford Raptor or the Dodge Laramie Hemi cuz they are muscle and really nice looking. But once they do additions like lifts... you lose me. Give me a car any day of the week. There's some insane ones out here. Lots of cool American muscle, and then you got things like the BMW M5 and Mercedes AMG on occasion. Those get me giddy

Anyone gonna try to put out a MCD (Mesoscale Cicada Discussion)?

I'll be home in mid-June. Hopefully I get to take in part of the festivities towards the back end of the peak. I find them fascinating

Easily one of the worst places in the plains to chase. I drove through there before and you saw nothing but trees. A death trap for severe chasing

I'm definitely all for this. Typically I get some kind of cold in a year, but this past 15 months, it's been absent. I did get food poisoning at one point end of last year, but that's a whole different can of worms. I like the restaurants taking extra precautions with cleaning (Which should've been done before a pandemic, but I digress). We are heading in a good direction, but absolutely need to restrict travel to and from hot spots internationally to keep it that way. Once those are under control, the pandemic globally will be over. In the US, I see it coming to an end in our part of the world within the next 2-4 months, barring some unforeseen spike.

Had a little trip to Tampa with the wife and had some really good food while we were there. I’ll post a few of my fav from the trip Ribeye Oscar from Del Frisco’s Grille Tacos Barria from Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Chicken and Waffles with strawberry compound butter from Metro Diner The last one was my favorite bite of the whole trip. The chicken was absolutely dynamite. Best fried chicken I’ve had from a non-fast food spot. I’ll have to remember to take pictures of food I cook next time. I keep forgetting. Keep posting the wonderful food y’all .

That's my feeling as well on the second part of your message. Idk about you, but I get major Adalius Thomas vibes from Oweh. His size and athleticism is very similar. He's even faster than Thomas ever was, but AT had incredible instinct and a knack for being around the ball. An unsung hero for those elite defenses in the mid 2000's. I'm stoked to see how we fit Oweh into the scheme here. Couldn't be happier at the talent we got.

I definitely thought that the Vikings had a fantastic draft. They got a great player in Darrisaw and racked up more picks. You think they take a flier on a QB late this year? There's actually some decent talent for late.
