  1. I was a junior in high school growing up in Delco. I clearly remember the storm but don't recall many details like I do with the '93 and '96 storms. Maybe the memory is starting to fade after nearly 40 years. Thanks for mentioning the thunder snow. Now that you said it, I recall it and I think it was the first time I ever experienced it too. I remember Herb Clark (and Super Radar) calling for 20" or more, I couldn't believe it was possible to get that much snow. I think we were out of school for an entire week. Overall, that was a pretty lame winter in Delco. I do recall they were predicting a big snow storm on a Saturday (don't know the date), but woke to a driving rainstorm instead. We may have gotten a sloppy inch or so at the end.
  2. I think Ralph is just having some fun.
  3. Thanks! For some reason I thought Philly on S&E only needed 4". I expect a WWA for us, but we'll see.
  4. Philly just needs 4" for warning criteria, so I could see them under a warning. But yeah... Atmospheric memory/seasonal trend ftw!
  5. Second day in a row w/o snow falling. Winter of azz!
  6. Looks like wave #1 falls mainly overnight, so that should help freshen up the snow pack. No point worrying about wave #2 until wave #1 clears the field.
  7. I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet. How many times this year has the MA crew been in the jackpot zone this far out only to have us steal their snow in the last 48hrs?
  8. Getting noticeable brighter. Looking at the vis sat, maybe see some sun later on. Then we plunge into the teens.
  9. I’m gonna say Feb 2010. As I recall we were under a winter storm warning for the current storm and a winter storm watch for the one a few days later. I also recall a flooding rain storm the week after the ‘96 blizzard.
  10. Glad I didn't take you up on your wager, this is looking like 5"+ when all is done.
  11. I was just about to say, these are some of the biggest flakes I’ve ever seen.
  12. Thumping cotton balls. No wind, coming straight down, 32F/DP 31F.
  13. Going back to last Sunday, there were only 2 days this week w/o snow falling—Thursday & Saturday. Not too shabby.
  14. Mod snow, 32F/DP 29F. Snow on snow!
  15. Ch10 says Feb sun angle will be an issue tomorrow
  16. Yeah, they probably sent the weekend intern out on a Starbucks run instead of updating the wx graphics.
  17. Ch6 seems a little high for my backyard, but I'll take it. My bar is set at 3". 34F/DP 25F
  18. Considering this event was DOA on Wed, any snow is bonus snow at this point.
  19. You count Mike, you count
  20. It's another example why we no longer have red taggers in our forum.
  21. Fresh dusting overnight, flurries now, 30F. That’s 4 consecutive days with flakes in the air.
  22. My mail is horrible, only get delivery maybe 3 days a week. Many of my bill have arrived after the due date. Yes, I have some automatically withdrawn, but I like reviewing my cc bills to make sure I'm not being incorrectly charged. Back to weather, nice snow shower atm, 34F.
