  1. 67F refreshing degrees! Got the windows open this evening and listening to the crickets and katydids.
  2. I’ve lucked out in that the heaviest of the rain pushed off just to my south and east, and I’m taking only by a mile or two. Been light rain/showers since 10am. Looks like 2.40” so far.
  3. All out monsoon here. Too bad, I was going to do some yard work, guess I'll just have to lounge around today. 72F/DP 72F
  4. Haha...years ago I had a neighbor who's cousin was an arborist. He was here on a Saturday cutting things down for us. He returned 7am Sunday morning to clean up and asked if it was too early to fire up the chipper. We told him to wait at least until 8am. This way we'd only piss off the neighborhood but wouldn't feel the need to pack up and move. Enjoy your mow! Only got down to 75F overnight, currently 76F. Vis sat shows some clouds to the west. Hopefully they'll fill in and keep temps somewhat in check today.
  5. Today is pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday -- a high of 93F but have since settled back down to 91F. Dews a bit higher at 74F. Mount Holly has already issued Flash Flood watches for tomorrow into Sat evening.
  6. Saw you posting in our forum and thought a Cat 5 hurricane was coming our way Hit 93F for a bit here, but DP is only 69F, so there's that.
  7. I've managed to keep it under 90F so far, topping out and 89F. Been sitting at 88F for most of the afternoon. Yes, I think the soil moisture helped out today.
  8. The latest I saw from AccuWx has us +2 to +3 for Sept-Nov. Doesn't mean they'll be right. But still, seems the only below normal season we have is spring, when all the winter weather teleconnections finally align. 82F/DP 71F
  9. The Sun is starting to break through, 78F/DP 74F. Looking like a mighty uncomfortable week is on tap. Steamy widow watches are posted.
  10. Picked up another .90" since midnight bringing my total to 2.80". Looks like I can add to that with some showers forecasted to swing through later today. Wrap-around snows ftw!
  11. Right, and we’d be counting on wrap around snows to save us…lol! Seems the precip is hitting a wall at I-78 as it drops south
  12. Yeah, about 1.80” of a nice, soaking rain here. Let’s build up soil moisture before the heat moves back in this week.
  13. While we’ve all been paying attention to Henri, portions of TN received nearly 19” of rain today!
  14. The HRRR does seem to be matching the radar the best. I wouldn’t mind an inch or two to keep the lawn green, but I can’t deal with another flooding event here
  15. Not as much of a death band on the 3K 18z NAM that I can see. But then again, it doesn’t look like it’s picking up those showers over southern NJ. Model roulette continues!
  16. I'm still recovering from Isaias' flooding. So yes, don't need to rebuild and replace everything two years in a row It is a little unsettling that the hi-res models keep picking up on that death band, so there probably is something to it. But as always, the "jackpot" zone will be a now cast thing.
  17. If the Ukie happens, I feel horrible for those folks in lower Bucks who got flooded out, then got hit by the tornado(es)
  18. Didn't want to junk up Agnes's thread... So a few days ago Henri had a chance to clip Boston as it passes by to the east. And if today's runs have a clue, Boston might see some showers as the bulk of the precip passes by to their west?
  19. Agnes redux? If these westward trends continue, Pittsburgh will be in the game by this time tomorrow And how much of this maybe Fred's influence -- pumping the ridge in the N. Atlantic?
  20. I was thinking about this the other day and obviously I need to dig into the archives, but it does seems the "slow and stall" scenario is becoming more common in recent years -- Harvey, Mathew, Dorian.
  21. And since tropical systems unwind from the inside out, I can see the rain shield from a weakening Henri getting "pushed back" into our region. It ain't winter, but we have something to track.
  22. I believe it's one of those two rain delays that went on to form Henri. You're welcome, New England!
