  1. Silly cashiers...what do they know about good weather?? 55F glorious degrees out there with .20" in the bucket so far.
  2. My new John Deere was delivered yesterday, looks like it will spend it's first weekend in the garage. Oh well, I didn't want to get it dirty anyway
  3. Just like winters of yore, when the GFS would advertise a snowstorm a week+ out, take it away in the 3-7 day range, then bring it back in the final 48 hours. Will we see sun today?? 59F
  4. Flyers question... Why do Chuck Fletcher, Mike Yeo and Dave Scott still have jobs this morning?? (Asking for a friend.)
  5. Loud boomers rolled through here around 4am, picked up a quick .75" from heavy downpours. 51F.
  6. Had to go back several pages to find this thread. Anyway... Paul Pastelok at Accuwx issued his summer outlook on 4/26. No real surprises, another summer of temps averaging +2 to +3 above normal. He also thinks it will be a wet summer for us with plenty of chances for severe -- we could maintain out new status as "tornado ally". The other thing that stood out is the west will continue experiencing high heat and drought conditions. Only 144 days until fall!
  7. ...and the Phils get shut out. We can't have nice things.
  8. Great day/night for Philly sports overall. If we knew anything, we knew Howie wouldn't stay pat with picks 15 & 18
  9. 54F...no complaints here! We'll be running the AC non-stop soon enough
  10. Hit 74F today but now down to 61F. Looks like the back door front has pushed through.
  11. Geez, did they put any effort into that? It’s like the designers said, “Philly loved Gritty, just give them a red blob or something and they’ll be thrilled.” And yes, I’m sure Blob will be a hit (if the league survives).
  12. Yes, noticed the first signs of the infamous green film on the car yesterday. 59F
  13. Getting a quick cloud burst, temp down to 76F.
  14. Hit 84F before the clouds rolled in, now down to 82F.
  15. Touched 80F today, now down to 79F and mostly cloudy.
  16. Chuck's already going with -PNA for next winter, so...
  17. Remember the WFL and the Philadelphia Bell? I think I still have a pennant.
  18. Autocorrect rocks!! I can be my inarticulate self complete with spelling errors and have something to blame for it. No such luck as a kid— I’d simply get whacked on the knuckles by the nuns with a yardstick.
  19. Yes, shortly after I made my post I did some more digging around and saw that -- hence the lack of buzz around here. So they're the "Philadelphia Stars" in name only. But I can watch football year round, so I'll probably tune in from time to time when there's a NHL or NBA playoff game that doesn't interest me.
  20. I was vaguely aware that the USFL was returning, but had no idea the Philadelphia Stars were too. You'd think there would be a commercial or two about tickets. Anyway, they had a good team first time around -- Brad and Bart Oates, Kelvin Bryant, Sam Mills, Jim Mora as coach. Don't recall why they moved to Baltimore cause I think they did okay attendance wise, but after 30 years, my memory may be a little hazy on that one. Is Philly a football town, or just an Iggles town??
  21. We're gonna need some serious blocking by then to have any hope of staying all frozen
  22. I did see the sun this morning, so I know it’s still there. 46F
  23. Driving through Montgomeryville and ran into something—very small hail, almost IP like bouncing off the car. And despite temps around 50F at the time, there was cat paw hitting the windshield along with the rain and everything else
