  1. The radar looks great down your way, stay safe! Got a shower moving through now with some thunder.
  2. Radar is looking juicy off to the SW.
  3. Picked up an inch from the storm earlier this afternoon. It trained over my neighbor for about 1/2 hour. My temp has since rebounded to 80F. I’m sure I’ll see more storms this evening, but I’m guessing the earlier one has stabilized things enough that they’ll be sub-severe.
  4. First storm of the day moving in. Dropped my temp from 91F to 77F. Couple of close lightning strikes, too!
  5. Thanks, just added it to the shopping list for my next trip to Lowes. Been diddy-boppin' between 93F-94F much of the afternoon. It will be interesting to see if these early storms set up some outflow boundaries for later today.
  6. Yard work done. Fortunately it was mainly in shaded areas, but still. Up to 90F at noon and I did see some young lantern flies. I tried stepping on them but those little suckers are fast!
  7. Don't! I just stepped outside for a moment...hoochie mama!! Temp isn't horrible at 81F, but that humid air mass is a slap in the face. I was hoping to do a little yard work this morning before the heat of the day fully kicks in, but now I'm reconsidering.
  8. Back in the olden days we could pin threads. This is certainly pin worthy 92F/DP 69F
  9. Only got down to 74F overnight, already up to 79F. Looks like we’re off to the races today.
  10. Maybe my thermometer hiccuped. Up to 89F now
  11. What Kamu said...feast or famine pattern this past week. I haven't been in a jackpot zone, but I've probably managed to nickel & dime my way to an inch since Friday. Enough to keep things green for now. We made it to July 15, mid point of met summer! Only 69 days until fall. NFL training camps begin to open next week. Sun now sets prior to 8:30. 82F/DP 68F
  12. Only got to 88F today. Clouds have since moved in and am now sitting at 86F. I’m hoping I can get under one the those stray showers to keep the lawn green for a while longer.
  13. Stupid question...what do the white circles represent, thunder? Like everyone else, that storm woke me up @2am. Thought it would miss me to the NW, but I got clipped by it. I'd say about 20-30 minutes of heavy rain that produced .60" here. I feel so bad for the folks who got hammered yesterday. I saw interviews with people who said they've lived there for decades and never experience flooding. That's what 8"-10" in a few hours will do. Haven't heard of any loss of life, so that's a positive. 71F/DP 70F
  14. Hearing thunder from the storm passing to my south. Made it up to 90F but now down to 86F under cloudy skies.
  15. That guy is a moron! Day after day of being under watches and warning -- even a tropical system traveling OVER south Jersey -- and all I have to show for it is .20". May need to set up the sprinklers next week.
  16. I know how this will play out -- since Elsa was a nothing burger imby (and to be fair, most short-term guidance said that would be the case), the stuff coming through later today that no one is paying attention to will bring flooding rains, downed trees, power outages, flying cows, etc... 79F/DP 70F
  17. .20", wind gusts approaching 15mph 70F/DP 69F
  18. Nada here. Just some thunder and a sprinkle. But it did drop my temp to 80F after a high of 88F.
  19. FWIW...the 12Z NAM says Elsa is a non-event NW of Philly. I don't mind missing flooding rains, but I'd sure like the lawn to get watered. Still, a 30 mile jog this way or that will change things. 82F/DP 74F
  20. Missed out on yesterday's action, but I did hear thunder from the storm that k/o Agnes's power as it passed to my south. Awesome sky last night seeing all that lightning in the distance from the storms in NJ. When I was a youngin', the old folks called it "heat lightning". 77F/DP 73F
  21. Fooking 90F/DP 75F. I imagine any storms will send our DPs even higher
  22. Yep, absolute downpour here. Made it to 80F, now down to 67F. I can see blue skies and sun in the distance.
  23. Happy 4th everyone! Got down to 59F overnight with some heavy pea soup before sunrise. Will our Christmas Day high surpass last night’s low?? Also, hearing my first cicadas this morning (no brood x here).
  24. Badges? We don't need no stinking' badges!! I wouldn't mind getting a shower or two today. Anything to keep the lawn moist this time of year. Of course, depending on Elsa, the ground may become more than moist later next week. Long ways out still. And hey, do we get new and improved weenies from Greenskeeper now??
  25. Oops…sorry, I must be on the wrong site. I was looking for AmericanWx. Carry on. 64F/DP 62F
