  1. It's the GFS, so there's that, but I love how the precip always dries up just before reaching SE PA. Drought begets drought.
  2. But Accuwx said it was going to be stormy!
  3. PS: Power came back after 2am. First warm night of the season and no AC or ceiling fan.
  4. On the other hand, I wonder what effect "urban sprawl" may have on them. I read last year about the decrease in PA lightening bug population and how our encroachment into their habitat was considered a contributing factor. Oh well, if we can't talk HECS, let's talk bugs!
  5. Same here. I like to test it early before the real heat sets in. That’s when everyone calls and you can’t get hold of a repairman. And of course I’ve since lost power, so the windows are now open
  6. Nothing here yet either. Typically I don’t hear them until late June/early July. I don’t recall 2004 being anything special imby. Curious to see if 2021 is different.
  7. $3.09 by me. And I’m still working from home so I’m only filling up maybe once every other month
  8. Such an odd day. Got up to 78F then the clouds rolled in, the wind kicked up and I’m now down to 66F. Welp, I’m off to a birthday party for a dog. Who says my life isn’t exciting??
  9. Forecast high was 73F, already up to 75F. Great day for yard work.
  10. 4-7-6 (Each team in the NFC East ties each other twice forcing the NFL to banish the division to the Arena League for the 2022 season.)
  11. Agreed. 1pm games means your team sucks (and we’ll get the worst announcers available). It’s just a personal preference of mine — get the Eagles game in first, then sit back and enjoy the remaining games.
  12. Love all the 1pm games, that’s how Eagles Sunday should be!
  13. At least it's dry and breezy...nothing better to make the pollen counts unbearable. 55F
  14. The NAM gets the 540 line south of us. Hopefully heavier rates will overcome the May sun angle. 62F
  15. Summer of azz will be here soon enough and we’ll be running the AC nonstop. 49F with drizzle.
  16. Just had a 30 second sun shower with more dark clouds off to my west.
  17. M’eh, it’s how we roll around here—stretches of dryness punctuated by periods of flooding rains. But seriously, when was the last time our region was officially declared a drought? If it’s been in recent years, I’ve forgotten. I do recall maybe two summers ago it was wet until late July or so. Then the rest of that summer and fall were dry. I wanted to aerate and overseed but put it off because the ground was concrete.
  18. Trash day and there's no wind...wtf?? 51F
  19. Ambient says 1.2” for me. Seems a bit overdone, but I did get some much needed heavy downpours. 59F
  20. Rain! The car is getting a much needed wash. 64F
  21. Winds are starting to crank. Trash has been picked up, but the recyclables are still out there. Hoping all the empty vodka bottles weight it down
  22. Right on cue...tomorrow is trash day
  23. At least humidity isn't an issue yet. But with the trees not fully leafed out, shade is at a premium. (I was reminded of that with my Irish skin this past weekend...lol!)
  24. Enjoy it while it lasts. In a couple more months, our overnight “lows” will be in the upper 70’s.
