  1. No pool here, but my bday is mid Sept and I always used to wrap up the AC around this time of year. Not anymore! I've pushed it back to mid Oct because of the last 5 or 6 autumns. 77F/DP 72F
  2. Down here in the Philly area, I was driving north on the NE Extension of the PA turnpike last night around 9pm and I could see all the lightning in the distance. Ver impressive all the way down here!
  3. Just give me two weeks for this stuff to germinate. (But I’d rather go the remainder of 2021 with no more tropical interactions.)
  4. Agreed! I’d rather run the sprinklers for a few weeks than have an Ida redux wash it all away.
  5. Figured it’s time to give this thread a bump since I’m having the lawn aerated and over seeded this morning. Can’t think of a better way to start a drought.
  6. I called last year during Isaias. The guy on the phone said they don't do that anymore, it's a liability issue. I said, "YOU'RE WHOLE F#%&IN' JOB IS A LIABILITY ISSUE!"
  7. Thanks! I was on the phone with the insurance co first thing this am...we'll see. I'm thinking chances are 15% partially, 85% SOL. Unbelievable pics and video throughout the region. Everyone I've spoken to today has a story to tell. Another "I" storm to be retired??
  8. It was kind of like Sandy squeezed into fewer hours. Jeez, my flooding was so bad it picked up my tractor and drove it through the garage wall into the basement (among other damage). 9.50”
  9. If I don’t see another drop of rain between now and Halloween, I’ll finish September and October above average
  10. Over 7” so far. Garage and basement wiped out again (still paying off Isaias damage). I’m out, calling we-buy-any-house-.com tomorrow. Been wanting to move to a more snowy climate. I’m taking this as a sign from God it’s time to get my butt in gear!
  11. Getting some light drizzle, now. Temp up to 70F after sitting at 68F much of the day. My windows are open too, but will be closing them soon enough, I'm sure.
  12. If nothing else, the RGEM and CMC have been consistent with the heavy rain threat over I-95. But I bet the RGEM is already busting on totals to our NW.
  13. .25" to start start the day, sitting at 68F. Mesos still seem enthusiastic about 3"-6" in our region. Globals a little less threatening but still a solid 3+". Anyone have the 6Z Euro?
  14. It also looks like Ida does a pivot, much like our MECS/HECS. I'm expecting about 3"-5" here. Any less will be greatly appreciated. Any more...
  15. So by the end of Thursday, even if we don't see another drop of rain the entire month, we'll most likely finish Sept with above normal precip
  16. Dr. No only lives up to his reputation for snow events. I haven't been paying much attention, but check out the rains breaking out in the Ohio Valley back toward IL with Ida still in MS. Was that forecasted?
  17. I guess the only positive is Ida will be zipping along at a good clip. But then again, so were Floyd and Isaias. We do tropical systems interacting with cold fronts well around here.
