  1. 25/21 with some light snow still. Just got an update on my dad. Still on life support, but is doing a little better. Not out of the woods yet, but I’m looking forward to showing him some of these pictures. Merry Christmas (Eve), everyone.
  2. My mom and sister are very happy to see snow falling on the Christmas Eve/Christmas period. First time in a very long time for them.
  3. Yeah, I sell that without other guidance on board. At this point even a widespread 1-2” would be excellent though.
  4. Love it. Probably time to tell my wife I might need to head west for a bit if this pattern continues
  5. Looks icy in Mass but not CT on the euro verbatim? Didn’t see any ZR here.
  6. I’m just messing with you. It was really funny when I first read it. I think four weeks of epic can go a long way to making a season. It can certainly bring back a season on the brink, as we’ve seen in recent years.
  7. Six weeks of winter remaining the day after winter began. Can’t make it up
  8. Just getting home. Absolutely wiped out. This thread—crazy as it was at times lol—helped me through the day. Dad is stable but there were complications during the heart surgery. We’ll see what happens the next few days but he’s ok right now.
  9. I dare say that looked pretty juicy too. Also had a cold Thursday with virtually everyone below freezing verbatim.
  10. Biased here but the annual thread had many uses: 1) It attempted to separate the frequent useless complaining posts from the discussion threads. 2) It was a literal coping mechanism. It allowed for winter lovers to use creativity to express their displeasure at how things were going. Whether it was funny posts, gifs, poetry, whatever, it allowed some to turn their frustration into something that added humor, and in doing so, value, to people that couldn’t complain to others close to them. 3) For me at least, it allowed a platform to satirize the utterly irrational veneration of winter. That’s not a judgment against anyone—because very few of us would be here if we didn’t hold wx in extremely high regard. There’s a reason it lasted a half decade and now has offshoots in other forums. In the end, I do think it helped people, even if they didn’t realize it in the moment.
  11. I’m not yet sure I’ll get it, but all I want is for my dad to be able to see a wintry landscape on Christmas. It’d be his first since 2002. He’s in surgery as I type.
  12. I imagine this makes the 12/25 deal less likely to mix/rain down here?
  13. As much as I hate winter tracking, this is pretty fun. We don't even have consensus about the wx 18 hours for now.
