  1. Hoping we break into a better pattern soon. Want to enjoy a nice spring and summer. Have a baby coming along in the fall, so weather will be taking a backseat lol
  2. Sneaky bad weather month overall. Generally cool and the wind has been ridiculous. Even 45 without wind would be fine, but seems like we are gusting to 25-30 everyday
  3. I have clover mixed into my lawn. I don’t hate it. If it’s cut short you literally can’t even tell it’s not grass unless you know what you’re looking at. It also stays green when it’s dry
  4. Greening up here slowly. Tulips and other stuff about to pop. Kicking the tires on getting irrigation installed this year. I’d have to upgrade my pressure tank and a quote I got 2 years ago pegged the cost at around 5k for the irrigation system alone.
  5. Unless you live on the water or within like 5 miles of it, it’s not bad. People love to overreact to spring weather here but normally it’s fine.
  6. Cousin and her two kids and husband went a few weeks ago somewhere in VT, can’t remember the mountain, but it was $700 all in for tickets and rentals for 1 day for 4 people (only the 2 kids rented skis). It has absolutely become cost prohibitive and I’d guess we are inching towards a tipping point. I’m skeptical of the turnout numbers allegedly being good. Do they count turnout like they count inches of snow at Jay?
  7. Weird weather weekend on the cape. Was in Falmouth Friday yesterday and this morning. Was beautiful at the house we stayed at in north Falmouth, sunny and 50s, and when we went for lunch downtown, it was cold and raw with mist. 62 when we left at 10am this morning, and mid 50s and junk when we got home
  8. My calls are robo messages that I prequalify for a personal loan, almost always the same exact message, different number. The amount of scam attempts are ridiculous these days, especially with everyone’s info everywhere
  9. I get legit like 5-10 a day. Most are filtered as junk so it doesn’t even ring now, but it’s usually the same robo message
  10. Winter has been over for weeks here. Starting to green up a bit
  11. Where is the sun? Thought today was going to be nice
  12. Kind of gross out. Was hoping to get some yard work done today but it’s raining again and has fallen back into the upper 40s
  13. Pretty much just piles here. Hoping the rest is gone this week so I can get going on some outdoor projects in the coming weeks. Need to stain the deck, paint the shed doors, power wash the house, etc etc
  14. Agreed, give me Jan 22 and let the rest of the winter be 50 degrees. I’d much rather that, than scraping together 15” over 8 events
  15. This is a D- winter at best here. Well below 50% average snow. The cold without snow does nothing for me, absolutely nothing. Puts me in a bad mood
  16. Seems to be more prevalent when it’s a snow event. We had a couple of epic prolonged Rainers last March.
  17. It’s been a zero return hobby here since Jan 22. Tough to devote time to it only to be burned time and time again. We had an epic stretch centered around 2015, but we are now doing the opposite of that the last 3 years
  18. I went to newfound lake 3rd week of August and it as cloudy and rained everyday except 1 and then didn’t rain for 3 months after that. Figures
  19. There has been a consistent nuance this season to weaken events by about 50% in the final 36 hours, along with the compressed flow causing all kinds of issues. Unless it was a rain event, you could bet on the event underwhelming in the snow department relative to where it was 2 days prior.
  20. I’m not going to lie, he has pretty much nailed every call this winter, especially every “snow” event reducing intensity by 50% or more in the final 36 hours. This is honestly the worst winter of my adult life, about to turn 31 next week. The combination of cold and lack of snow has been miserable.
  21. And third rate countries. More melting today, hopefully it’s gone for good next week.
  22. Most models had more than 3” here, but ultimately doesn’t matter, point is, we have bare spots here and I expect everything but piles to be gone this week, thank god
