  1. I "think" the snowpack (at least some) can survive several days of sunshine and 40 degrees for a "White" Christmas next week. Thinking lows in the 20s will help with that too.
  2. Hey, this is "blackrock" who used to live in Spring Lake. It's been some time since I have checked in on this forum. Saw you guys were getting some LES, so thought I'd check in. I see Bo is still making everybody drool at the mouth with his deep winter shots. I miss the beauty and friendliness of West Michigan. The wife and I have talked about moving back years and years from now.
  3. I'm not sure. With the angle and way it's moving, it might mostly miss me just to the NE over you guys.
  4. Yes! Loving watching the mini-blizzards out the window and hearing all of the dramatics of the "normal" citizens... Just hopefully nobody is injured and people make wise choices.
  5. That Radar map brings back memories. That was my radar view for the 10 years I lived in West Michigan. Beautiful place.
  6. Many schools around here cancelled evening activities. I was a bit surprised. Looks beautiful. Love love love fresh snow.
  7. Dude...I was joking. I was referring to all the beautiful Kuchera maps you post. Didn't mean for it to come across as a personal attack. My apologies if it did.
  8. Maybe I should check out the local mets instead of wolfie's posts. lol Hopefully we can get Lake Ontario to fire up with some nice cold air moving over it tomorrow. Time for SYR to catch up to BUF and ROC!
  9. ...AND advisory was cancelled...lol Whatevs...at least the ugly grass is covered up completely.
  10. I find it amusing that the heaviest snow with this is over a hundred miles north of where models were showing it. Pennsylvania was supposed to get several inches...most got nothing...thought Central NY was then game for heaviest.....nope, STILL went farther north.
  11. Every system this year seems to have lots of dry slotting.
  12. Yeah, the solid banding looks like it is way up in Canada...lol. The models have been awful. Snowing heavily here right now though.
  13. I had about 2 inches on my car at 7:45 this morning. With the way it's been snowing the past hour, looks like we're headed towards 4 inches. Heavy band moving through northern Onondaga.
  14. Just went for a Jeb walk. So nice out. Big fluffers hitting my face, ground covered by snow again, the smell of some fireplaces burning wood, checking out Christmas lights in the snow, and humming "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" to myself. Twas a nice walk...
  15. Hey, thanks for your honesty. I understand your point, and I apologize. On a positive note, this band has been sitting over us this evening. I'm watching a movie with some friends, but when I got up to go to the "bathroom" (aka window check) it was snowing and laying pretty good.
  16. For Tuesday, I am going with the lower range of my permanent dusting to 3 inch call for 2019 winter systems. System will be getting pushed off to the south and east by HP to the north. Cutter or suppression. This time it's suppressed.
  17. Nam 3k and Euro looks abysmal for our area, wolfie. Nam 12k greatly reduced totals with each run today. Just another lammmmmme waste of a winter week coming. Hopefully the nice snow showers we've been getting here the past 2 hours will continue and start covering up the open grassy areas once the sun sets.
  18. Totally agree with both on this. You guys already know it's been my mantra, so I won't say anything else. As far as this week, what looked like could have been a very snowy week is fading away... We need to sloooooow everything down. Everything is zipping through. My doctor this week was even saying that all these ups and downs are really hard on the body. She's seen many people come in who have been affected by all the rapid ups and downs.
  19. So, uh, how about that 00Z Euro run for mid week?? lol....it says, "What system?" Have fun talking about that when you wake up in the morning, everybody! Peace to you all.
  20. Yup..It's the new winter. November is two months long (November 1st to January 1)...then we get two months of somewhat winter...and then we have two months of March...
  21. Dusting to 3 inches...sticking to it until farther notice. lol
  22. I think until some sort of pattern readjustment, it's best to go with a dusting to 3 inches for every single system that has a hint of snow.
  23. An inch of gloppity glop out there. The roads are a slushy mess. Still "snowing" outside.
  24. Ouch. What a bust for the Buffalo folks. The fact it happened during daylight hours probably really hurt you guys.
