    Just praying NW MA doesn’t get 2 to 3 inches of sleet that then freezes the next day. I would gladly take soaking warm rain over that scenario.

    It’s not too often in early season storms that lat/long are as much of a factor as elevation but I’m taking tomorrow off for some yard clean-up.

    Yeah, same in Greenfield. We became the supply zone for all the unfortunates in the hill towns who were without power for days. Soeaking if which, my friends in SW VT (Dover and Wilmington) still don’t have power from the Halloween winds and rains.

    Cold is definitely coming, some packets of energy will be on the playing field so chance of snow is solid. Timing of SW disturbances tbd. I think we go cold and dry. We wait.

    It was wet out this way but nothing with kids couldn’t have handled. Now the problem is even though the town tried to postpone trick-or-treating until tonight there were still people out last night and so homeowners now need to deal with people ringing their doorbells tonight after they gave out candy last night. Dumb.

    A socially decent crowd of folks hangs out at Moat Brewing in N Conway. The Shannon Door in Jackson is pretty good folks too!

    Yeah, that was a little out on the limb but I don’t think we all get rocking until early December.

    They may not hit 10% of that. Still time to buy your timeshare condo but Stowe is using up all it’s QOF quota in the offseason!

    Despite my horrible model interpretation skills, still looked like lots of Canadian cold lurking, which is always a good sign!

    Arctic push, which hopefully brings our first flakes around 11/8 period and then maybe trough bumps W again? I don't look at every model run like many here but yesterday, I had time to look at a bunch of LR and felt that models were subtly flattening the flow again towards mid-month.

    CMC snow totals for my locale are my fantasy favorites!

    Models have hinted at that after the cold dump. I think most people would be fine with a warm-up if we could squeeze in a small snow event before hand. Even if it was just a 1-3” interior event.

    I know. This is a town that prefers 2 hour delays over full snow days and doesn’t even plow for less than 3 inches of snow yet Halloween is canceled for rain. It may partly be because there is a big downtown Halloween parade and the business is all give out candy so I can see why they might move the parade for weather. I don’t really understand how a town can cancel trick or treating.

    There it is, just got the robo-call from the Greenfield fire department cancelling the downtown parade and trick or treating. Moved to Nov 1st.
