  1. Wow, you're like 16mi S of me and I have maybe half that.
  2. The crickets from the N of Pike crowd is telling. Hopefully we play catch up. .75" of baking powder here so far.
  3. Central and Eastern CT have had more than their share of crazy the past 10 years.
  4. What is snow growth like there? It is just a step above sleet here right now.
  5. Went from a few flakes to almost moderate pretty quickly but it's absolute baking powder so hopefully that resolves itself or we'll be coming in under low end of forecasts.
  6. The cloud deck is still pretty high and bright in the twilight here so me thinks it will still be a while before flakes fly
  7. Bennington and North Adams are pretty bad also.
  8. Now that he's in Maine I'll be the only one regularly posting from the NW territory of MA. Lurker only checks in occasionally. We need a Brattleboro weenie!
  9. I had no idea what this meant, and now barely do but here is a q vector wxsplainin' for us amateurs: http://tornado.sfsu.edu/geosciences/classes/m503/m503_sp05/Qvector/QVector.htm
  10. The big thump is going to be quick in W areas, the best lift will be shifting E and N as that L starts to prime under LI. Best case out here is that we go almost all snow, brief IP and flip to freezing drizzle. I am all set with prolonged sleet on snow, don't need to injure myself clearing early on in the season.
  11. I dunno' thick water is kind of fun if you are dressed for it.
  12. Yeah, I'm actually down to 19F on the fluid thermometer. maybe a little warm bias on my digital.
  13. Oh' wow, 23F here and I thought that was cold!
  14. I'd be cautious on the higher end. Outside of isolated pockets 4" max in SNE should be the rule unless this comes together perfectly. You are going to need dynamics, mid-level temps and our climo to sync perfectly for warning level snows. Not saying it can't happen but I would be very cautious in November.
  15. You don't have a site subscription yet? Berg is the word!
  16. High end rollers need to keep expectations in check, there is a 3-4 hour window to really make hay with this before the mid-level warming becomes a spoiler. Get those rulers in before the pellets begin.
  17. Yeah, depending on how the euro and the meso's look in the morning I might lean close to warning up here.
  18. Welp, snow blower and genny tested and ready. This should be a decent kick off to winter season for the RT 2 corridor folk. I'm thinking 3-4" Greenfield, maybe a little more in the hills but probably pretty uniform with this type of event.
  19. Yep, it's too difficult to click on my NWS bookmark so I come here for all the details.
