There are many x factors that come into play with atmospheric sciences and meteorologists understanding of atmospheric dynamics are constantly evolving. Does anybody have a solid theory on how solar maximums and minimums effect global weather patterns? For that matter does anybody have a true scientific grasp on stellar physics and the influences of the sun's electromagnetic perturbations?
I am out with 2 dogs several times a day in mixed terrain and have seen 2 ticks total since June after a horrific spring with multiple ticks per week. My entomologist friend at Umass feels like the dry start to summer followed by prolific moisture disrupted them somehow. The prolonged cold with bare, dry ground should also create some dents in the tick population.
Yeah, just need to figure out how to hack the other models on board but GFS was congrats NW MA. Ready for the snow now, finished stacking my back up cord from the fairy wood wookie. Already gone through a bit of wood with these temps.
