  1. We stopped for a travel break in Moncton NB and it’s 83° here. A little surprising.
  2. Should I extend my PEI vacation 2 more weeks? It was actually a great day of winds and tropical showers today.
  3. I’m on the east side of PEI right now and the wind is howling! Not much rain though so it’s kind of fun.
  4. Yikes, three women were seriously injured in Orange today when a tree fell on their car. I assume due to windy wet conditions.
  5. Yeah, I haven’t gone back and checked but I feel like they were scattered and no heat waves since then. Either way, it was definitely uncomfortably humid with lots of mid to upper 80s.
  6. I believe it was during the heat wave around July 13-15th we both agreed that 90s type heat waves were probably done for the summer. Was it oppressively humid after that sure but not many 90’s days and that theme will continue.
  7. My nieces were in Vienna for the Taylor Swift concert. I’m sad they missed it but I’m glad that didn’t become something tragic.
  8. Hiked about 6 miles along the Nova Scotia coast today. Lovely day, partly cloudy and around 20°C.
  9. There were lots of shenanigans going on the past few days. possibly a lot of pool trading to try and unwind the carry trade glut.
  10. Don’t miss Rancid! They probably go on first.
  11. The big sale may not have started yet…
  12. There are circuit breakers in place. It can only fall so far before trading is halted. After all, they can’t let a $200 trillion dollar derivatives market unwind…
  13. We went to the Sea Dog brewery on our way through Bangor today and caught their sound check!
  14. Currently 64° with a breeze on the waterfront in Saint John NB. Hoodie on and loving the change of pace!
  15. Did any of the 4 major SNE sites have an official heat wave this week?
  16. N Conway to Crawford Notch area of NH would be toast also. They don’t handle prodigious rain well.
  17. More likely outcome. This goes east.
  18. Don't you think it would be moving a little bit too fast to drop those totals? That's Irene type rains for W MA.
  19. Savannah to Charleston drowning on that run.
  20. I'll be in Atlantic Canada so will keep one eye open for this.
  21. A lot of these cells in W MA are weakening as they move north east.
  22. I’ll be in Atlantic Canada for first half of the month, maybe get a Juan redux.
