  1. I did the lawn yesterday with a gas push mower. It took me like 30 minutes to cool down afterwards.
  2. I will say the relative lack of rain has been great for keeping the mosquitos down. My neighborhood has been mostly mosquito and deer fly free the past 2 weeks. Could be the healthy bat population helping with that. I also have not seen a tick in weeks.
  3. Yeah, unless you are at the water or have a pool it's not a lot of fun. I enjoy hanging outside on the warm evenings though.
  4. Depending on how this week shakes out we should see the abnormally dry areas expand quite a bit on the next update. My area is already in the yellow but not noticeable yet with the vegetation etc. Local rivers are low though.
  5. Fantastic pics from both of you. I love summer storm cloud pictures and this season I have not had many opportunities.
  6. He should probably roll up an ole' fatty and fire it up to ease the pain.
  7. I was just wondering a little while ago who in New England has the longest days above 90° streak so far?
  8. I like the literal interpretation acid version better.
  9. Better hope it rains mid-week because long range looks dry.
  10. I’m not sure you would be walking around if it was Achilles. Partial tear of the gastro would do it but I’m not sure that wouldn’t account for the pop you felt. Either way, sorry to hear. Good luck and go see the orthopedist.
  11. Several small tendons and ligaments around the ankle. Could be your rentinaculum. Maybe give Kristaps Porzingis a call and see what he thinks.
  12. Today actually feels warmer than yesterday here. Already 81/71
  13. Ya’ but even yesterday almost every model had backed off of anysignificant rain N of the MA/CT border. Odd that they kept the flood watches up.
  14. I let the sprinkler run on the garden early this morning because I don’t trust the rain forecast.
  15. End of July and first half of August will be humid for sure but I think heat waves are done in most of New England after next week. I'm confident there will be 84-88F days with DP's in the upper 60's but the spectacular real feel temps are over by the 18th. I like summer weather, don't love the HHH days but the past 2 weeks have been a fun stretch because it's nice to hang out, outside at 10pm, in shorts and t-shirts.
  16. I would say go into the banter thread and spray it with every flood picture you have. Some of us want to see it all! I find the VT flooding quite tragic. WNE, NNE and ENY have had a ridiculous hydro stretch since 2011 but VT has just been ground zero. Crazy. r/Vermont had some wild stuff.
  17. Definitely but more scattered and less sustained.
  18. From the weather weenie perspective, yesterday afternoon and evening were pretty unique. High heat and humidity but a steady wind made it feel Hawaii comfortable.
  19. That will be the first step down and I think the highest heat of the Summer will then be in our rearview mirror.
  20. Nice summer evening. Just got back from the river with the kiddo and the wind and water were delightful.
  21. Blazing hot here but the steady 10 to 15 mph breeze helps quite a bit.
  22. Sun finally came out, now we are cooking! Tropical.
