  1. It has been quite the ridge run. Since I moved here in 2007, I have never seen a stretch with so many clear and starry nights. I thank dog for getting me outside every night to take it all in.
  2. After Thurs/Fri, the GFS is pretty dry in the extended. Maybe a T-Day weekend threat but that is still low probability.
  3. We may actually see a wagons North with this tomorrow but everybody in SNE still gets > .50"
  4. Cut that by 75% and move it 100mi NW and it may work out.
  5. Dry beget dry? We all will get some rain on Thursday. TBD if it’s over or under .25” Hard to say beyond that but models are showing a more active pattern.
  6. 62/26 right now. Desert dry. Probably our last 60’s until Christmas week.
  7. The weeks of dryness have made yard cleanup easier. The leaf blowing is effortless, like moving feathers. What a stunning day for mid-November!
  8. Let’s move that out a few more weeks and I’ll be happy.
  9. That’s funny, I was thinking the same thing earlier. It does look like everybody gets a drink on Thursday and then the pattern looks a bit more active for a while. we will see how long it lasts but it wouldn’t surprise me if ridging works its way back into the east.
  10. It’s been a scintillating few months following day seven hallucination showers.
  11. Yeah, every time there’s rain beyond day five on the models it just disappears a day or two later.
  12. Most of SNE maybe goin' dry rub with the T-Day Turkeys. I don't see any significant precipitation for a bit...
  13. GFS tries to bring a coastal low right into CT day 9 or 10 for whatever that’s worth.
  14. You left out after February doesn’t work out, time to think about the “countdown to May 1st” thread. Then you can make a similar chart for severe weather in SNE.
  15. Wow, only .10” here. Still, should be enough to kill the fire threat. Doesn’t help the streams and rivers much.
  16. Today is the 49th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. A year later Gordon Lightfoot wrote a great tribute and one of the great weather related songs. I was obsessed with this song as a kid.
